Inova Payroll vs. SentricHR (SentricWorkforce)

Unless I'm in an unusual situation with an employee, it only takes a few minutes to complete payroll with Inova.Some features are not yet fully customizable and, as a result, force us to reverse engineer processes in a roundabout way that does not necessarily meet our business needs.

SentricHR works well with unusual situations in payroll - they understood that our payroll is not just a basic hourly/salaried situation and were able to create codes and functions to work with our exact needs.

• Calculate tax deductions and distribute paychecks for auditing and tax reporting purposes.
• Applicant Tracking feature that allows you to create and post vacancies on the job page of the website and on various job portals.
• Design plans for onboarding sessions and communicate with new hires.

• Open Enrollment lets employees view and select the benefit they want for the following plan year. Sentric is easy to use and lets us in HR link their selection to their payroll records.
• Sentric allows HR and the employee to view their paychecks. They can look at one, or many at a time.
• When someone applies for a job via Sentric, their candidate records carry through to their employee record after we hire the person.

• I would like the ATS component that monitors candidate hiring to be able to trigger more hiring activities like connecting with our background check provider and scheduling a prospect appointment.
• The benefit statement could be more advanced.
• A little more update for the UXI.

• Make it easier to determine which report works best for our needs

Our company implemented the use of Gusto, and although the payroll service is excellent, the main reason we switched to Inova Payroll was the poor customer service that this program offered us in order to solve the "MANY" problems that were shown on the site.

I haven't explored the other systems in great detail. IFS didn't appear as "user-friendly". Taleo seemed to not have the capabilities Sentric did.

• It minimized our cost as we were able to get rid of the paper time tracking system altogether.
• Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding are streamlined in one place where we can connect you directly to payroll.
