Intouch Insights is great for companies needing to a deeper look at their customer base without the need to pay for a consultant to do it. Intouch does enable you to reach people on all platforms (desktop, mobile, tablet) and lets you create a decent experience too. If you're a small marketing team, make sure you allow the appropriate time span to set up and use the software as it can eat into time.

It's difficult to gauge workplace behaviors based on an interview. Through [Predictive Index Behavioral Assessment], it gives us a better idea of how candidates would react in certain situations, then we can pinpoint specific questions to further explore that. Ex: For a particular role, we need someone comfortable with risk and understanding the big picture. The system will suggest behavioral based questions we could use to determine whether or not this candidate can meet those expectations of the job.   • Compatible with most smartphones: Our forms can be viewed and used on almost every smartphone. Some outliers may be phones that are not up-to-date on software.
  • Variety: We can make an array of form types enabling us to really update our mobile experience. We also have a good selection of question types to use to build out engaging forms rather than stale ones.
  • Simple to use: The builder interface is really simple to use. You can drag your questions to shake up the order, add images if needed, and you can even provide a question description to give users more detail.

  • The PI software does a fantastic job describing a person. It is actually exciting to get results.
  • You are able to coach and train employees in their current positions because the PI software helps you see where employees need to grow.
  • You are able to set a job pattern PI so that you can match candidates to the job pattern. This is very useful when you have a lot of applicants for a specific job.

Cons

Intouch Insight

  • Data can be "collected" offline: If the person uses the form offline, it's supposed to sync with our software after they come online. We've found that it doesn't always sync well and we have to use incomplete data or trash the form fill as a whole.
  • Set up is a little challenging: We had to work with a customer rep along with reading the help forum to get this set up the way we wanted it to be, causing us to use up time we didn't originally allot to it.
  • Issue alerts: While it does work most of the time, we have had a few hiccups with the issue alert functionality. We would actually find the issue or be informed of the issue before the software alerted us.

  • In Beta -> Hire -> New Candidates - > I would like to see the ability to create 1 or 2 additional "Type" folders that can be customized for my company. By being able to do this, I can more efficiently manage my potential candidates, rather that every time I go to review a position, having to make these individual selections each time. I would like the favorite icon and the pass icon to remain; however find it extraneous to have to sort through these candidates each time.

Our managers have their own log ins and there is no tutorial needed to explain how to use the website

Alternatives Considered

Intouch Insight

Compared to InTouch, these three look like amateurs. They are far too simple and do not have the mobile capability and mobile display appearance as InTouch. While they are cheaper alternatives, you'd be losing out on a lot of key benefits, especially with analytics, that InTouch delivers to its users.

We use multiple assessments for a variety of reasons. This one is the most versatile that we have. Others we use either for individual development or team development, but PI is the only one we use for Recruiting, individual development and team development.

Predictive Index Behavioral Assessment

  • Better hiring outcomes when individuals are aligned to what the role requires. We acquired an entity that was not using PI and their turnover was north of 50%. Our historical overall company turnover using this tool has been in the single digits. While PI is not the only factor that contributes to this, it certainly is a key factor.
  • Better understanding of how to approach others in the organization and best meet their preferences has resulted in better working relationships, better communication and increased EQ.
