SAP Joule is organization specific AI agent directly integrated into the SAP ecosystem. Joule understands complex SAP models, autorizations and workflows. It is build to fast up the cordination between SAP modules like finance, procurement, succesfactor, material management.

If I compare it with ChatGPT and Joule then it is amazing in generating content and to do market research. We select Joule because it naturally fits in our day to day work and when we use it, it helps in maintaining workflow and to know about data insights. As compared to …

1. Joule stands tall against SeekOut
2. Seekout is not capable of integrating with SAP products. SeekOut dont allow you to own the integration, they only offer and support very basic integration, that doesnt give you full grip and fails in calculating RoI
3. Front facing of …
Chose Joule
Joule lacks the ease of setup and use when compared to Copilot or Gemini. The reason for implementing this over the other two is that it made more sense to implement SAP's native AI into our already existing SAP landscape rather than try to figure out how to expose our SAP data …

we have built our own custom solution using AI and it stack well. i think we should build one on top of Joule to get the best
Chose Joule
We are currently testing Joule for Devs and Joule for Consultants in a controlled environment to assess if it is the better option to our needs.
Chose Joule
Copilot is too generic in approach, where it suggests based on system data or generic from internet. But Joule is more linear and precise with tasks a developer wants to achieve.

Copilot is more useful for inbuilt apps within MS teams, MS office. Where we can use for …

Chose Joule
I have used Joule for SAP day-to-day activities and Co-Pilot for communication purposes. The co-pilot integration to SAP was not that efficient compared to Joule with respect to data filtering and prompts.
Chose Joule
As we are focused on SAP products, we did not evaluate any other services. We went ahead directly with SAP for Joule.

Joule in SuccessFactors is well suited in case you just want to have a quicker way to execute quick actions for a couple of users, or if you extend Joule with some Joule skills. Apart from this at this point in Time I don't see a lot of default scenarios that Joule brings to the table in SuccessFactors.

Based on experience with Salesforce’s Agentforce, it is best suited for scenarios that require autonomous decision-making within a structured CRM environment, moving beyond simple chatbots to handle end-to-end tasks. It is least appropriate for tasks requiring high empathy, complex human judgment, or when the underlying data in Salesforce is chaotic and unmanaged

Pros
  • Users can prompt Joule to create business partners in MDG.
  • The change process for Business partner (Customers/Suppliers) updation is made easy, particularly for updating data such as address and communication details.
  • The workflow process has been simplified by Joule agents, such as identifying the high-priority task and sharing it with the end user.
  • Improved data quality to almost 30%~50% in the CR creation process, which is a significant milestone for us.

Cons
  • I would definitely like to see faster responses. One of the question I was getting when I was interacting with my customers here, they are saying how proactively Joule is updated or how fast it is updated with the real time technology and the things we are asking or what is the frequency of it, which was totally something to work on to see how continuous improvement is happening because if you are asking something. It's not helping the answers because it's just not updated, or there's no continuous improvement; that's something you should work on. And I think that will also help with faster response, at the speed and all that.

As we explore, we can learn more. As i believe, we can only learn to live and live to learn stuffs. So as well AI does the same and improve itself. By trying and prompting joule more, we can use it in better ways. I would definitely wait and use the new versions shared in SAP Teched on Joule with more LLM involved

Usability
I would rate Joule’s overall usability a 10 out of 10 because it makes interacting with SAP incredibly simple, intuitive, and fast. The conversational interface removes the complexity normally associated with navigating SAP modules, running transactions, or building reports. Even non-technical users can get meaningful insights within seconds just by asking natural language questions.

It would be around eight to say the UI is simple, it is like the Salesforce interface, so I don't have to look at what options sits there and what happens. That's something that is easy to understand. From a UI standpoint, it's really good. It functions on the layman day-to-day language, so that's really good. Why I scored a eight and not a nine or a 10 is because the missing off that context when you restart the conversation, that's an area which Salesforce needs to iron out and then maybe a 10 or 10.

Joule implementation was easy but it has too many steps, it would be nice if part of the steps could be done automatically.

Deep SAP integration — it lives inside your SAP workflows and can take action directly (run queries, trigger orders, pull reports). Role-aware context — knows SAP role and authorizations automatically. Pre-built business process knowledge across HR, Finance, Supply Chain, etc. No prompt engineering needed for standard SAP tasks.

We did evaluate the EVA bots, which are coming in market for Salesforce effectiveness. Those bots are good, but they're based out of very traditional use cases in the life sciences space. Agentforce is very, very advanced, right? Eva can talk about a typical sales rep coming in, logging in the day, log their entire day, and then probably having a simple text to reporting kind of a view. And that's it. Agentforce gives me a lot of insights, it gives me a lot of actionable insights. It uses its own brain. That's where Salesforce is an AI company. So we trust the Salesforce banner for it to innovate more and more, more and more. And that's where we chose Agentforce over.
