Splunk now offers a security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) platform via its acquisition of Phantom. Splunk Security Orchestration and Automation (Splunk SOAR) provides playbook automation and is available as a standalone solution.
It's Microsoft, so it rarely goes down or unnecessarily limits access. It works, though page load times can be long if you have lots of data. I feel like the Mac vs. PC divide has started to show up for MS products, but SharePoint works well with both.
Our company has very complex and dynamic security operations because of the large number of security tools and systems that we need to manage and coordinate. Moreover, it helps us to meet many regulatory and compliance requirements because it helps us to automate and document our security operations. We also use it to streamline our security operations and improve our response to potential threats.

Windows Explorer users have some difficulty having to constantly UPLOAD / DOWNLOAD files. Specifically on the DOWNLOAD when they are used to Drag & Drop in & out of LOCAL folders via Window's explorer.
Microsoft SharePoint supports multiple "library" types. When implementing our "image" library the search function is done via "tags" and boolean logic. This is challenging to most end users. I'd like our users to be able to search our Microsoft SharePoint image library without having to enter KEYWORD or other BOOLEAN logic.
Microsoft SharePoint can also be an internal website for each department or company wide communication tool but I believe these features are geared for much larger organizations. Since we are a SMB we really aren't using these features. So maybe something more useful to SMBs would be nice.

A lack of instruction It can be difficult to contact the support staff. Limited experience from current users.
It takes some effort to set up and learn new technology at first. More assistance is required from the support staff. The product's price needs to go down.

It's integral to our business. It's already included with most of the Office 365 licensing we buy, so the cost is effectively zero. It stores our files, it is the foundation for custom applications, and Microsoft only continues to enhance its functionality and its connections to other Microsoft tools. SharePoint just keeps getting better and better.

As we already have a lot of clients being catered with Splunk SOAR and because Splunk SOAR is robust and efficient, we are already using it, and we have understood the product to a certain extent, I feel we are personally more enticed to use and scale it to a lot of business.

No usability issues reported. Individual teams also have allocated areas which replace legacy shared drives on local LANs. Access to Sharepoint resources is fully integrated with corporate Active Directory with additional two-factor authentication required for administrative users. Users have access to Microsoft Services Hub which allows you to create, manage, and track support requests while staying current on Microsoft technologies with access to select self-paced learning paths

Building playbooks through the visual editor is fine for basic tasks, but once you start chaining complex logic or integrating 3rd party APIs you hit a wall that requires deep scripting knowledge.

We are able to automate almost every one of our use cases, even our threat-hunting, and threat intel procedures. We have 20+ playbooks and cover almost everything, even searching logs into Splunk, looking into TIP and external systems, enrichment, and collecting evidence for analysts; it can perform concurrent playbooks running.

The face to face training I received was on SharePoint Administration. It was rushed as there was a lot of information to cover and the application of the labs weren't that great either. I like to be able to relate what I am learning to what I am currently doing.

I like to learn at my own pace and online training allows for that. Additionally, you can skip through pieces of content that you already know or are already comfortable with. Microsoft actually offers great videos on their website for basic fundamental SharePoint Training. I have used these training videos in some of my own training sessions with end users.

The reasons for selecting MS SharePoint are: SharePoint provides ease of use and web design assistance and support SharePoint helps you schedule your content for publishing. enables users to share documents with external parties and offers a better internal structure of the content and better indexing and searching capabilities.

Splunk Phantom integrates well with Splunk ES and has many integrations. One thing that I liked about XSOAR as compared to Phantom is that it has an "app-store" where you can download not only app integrations (similar to Phantom) but Playbooks and dashboards as well.

The playbooks are valuable. They are the core component. Being able to implement and build a code process to work through and scale out what we want to do is valuable
Before its use, analyzing each email would take at least 15 to 20 minutes, with some complex cases taking up to 30 minutes...With the automation provided by Splunk Phantom, we could significantly reduce the amount of time and human effort required to complete this task
