Overall Satisfaction with MS SharePoint

As a training manager[,] I have to collaborate with different teams to arrange training, distribute training materials, and conduct TNA. This has been made possible by MS Sharepoint. All the tools in one place and easy collaboration with coworkers made my work simple and convenient. For the last few days[,] further integration between services like Outlook and Teams really reduce the discomfort of inputting the same data in several places. There are still some gaps here and there, but you can survive without them.

Pros

  • Making collaboration easier via a better connection between accounts. You can share anything from a file to events with just a couple of clicks.
  • All services are connected and switching between services is a breeze[.]
  • Solutions to the majority of everyday business problems.

Cons

  • It still needs to jam some services together like Planner and lists so that teams can interact from a single place[.]
  • Sites need to be more intuitive and rather building from scratch should come up with some suggestion[.]
  • The tool tips for new users are not adequate[.]
  • It comes with Office 365. It won't cost you any additional charges.
  • It will help you to streamline your communication and work as a central hub for all tasks, files[,] and events[.]
  • Setting it up will need a bit [of] planning. If you jump blindly it will become a confusing place for your team members and make them frustrated[.]

MS Sharepoint is specifically useful when you have to collaborate with multiple teams. All teams know what exactly is happening and if they need help they can get it without asking you to share the link every time. This really [transfers] the burden from my shoulders to the participants. As participants can access all resources on demand. For a small team[,] it might feel [like] firing a cannon to kill a mosquito. They can avoid Sharepoint and use [a] planner. If you are the one like me who was excited to see different templates, you will be sad to see there are not many and most of them [look the same].
