Overall Satisfaction with MS SharePoint / SQL

We are currently using MS Sharepoint in our organization. We use SharePoint for ShareDrive to store multiple files, such as company documents, technical procedure documents, employee performance evaluations, company reports, etc. It helps us quickly access files and manage permissions for files or folders. The best part is we can create a link that can be shared with any person in our organization, and the file will be accessible via the link. We can access SharePoint folders via the MS Teams app instead of opening it on the browser.

Pros

  • We track employees' performance sheets, which are accessible to the employee, his manager, and HR, and this helps with transparency.
  • We maintain technical process documents and SOPs, which help us quickly provide relevant documents during audits.
  • We maintain incident documents change request forms in SharePoint, which helps us in tracking the changes.

Cons

  • Share link should have more features like link should be valid only for 30 mins or 1 day.
  • UI should be more user friendly specially in sites module.
  • Teams integration should have been better.
  • It's having a positive impact on our Return on investments for sure.
The main reason behind my rating is the easy accessibility of files and folders in MS SharePoint. Many features in SharePoint have yet to be explored fully and need to be used and tested. As an admin, it is also very easy to manage user access via users and groups.

As I mentioned in my previous answers, MS SharePoint is very useful as a shared drive for the organization and is very easy to manage. It also helps us import data from SharePoint directly into PowerBI for creating reports. According to my understanding, only share link features should be improved.
