Nextcloud vs. Zoho WorkDrive

For a SOHO business, this solution is ideal. You don't need to administrative overhead of other products like GSuite, and it saves licensing costs. The maintenance effort is minimal as long as you use their default applications. Migrations to newer versions can be done with a few commands and run automatically. If you're planning on using Nextcloud in large deployments with many users, you'll start to see higher costs on your resources and maintenance. There will be a point at which Gsuite becomes easier to manage.

Zoho WorkDrive is probably the best for small organizations because of its affordability and the easy of setting up. Zoho is very well suited for facilitating the sharing of documents securely to allow for efficient collaboration. It is also supported by enterprise grade security, making it well suited for storing and sharing documents securely.

• It is every easy to share documents/ files using Zoho WorkDrive
• Zoho WorkDrive is far much cheaper than similar solutions, like OneDrive/ Google Workspace but still gives much more storage than those
• The support from the Zoho WorkDrive team is very solid, and always able to respond within minutes

• Zoho WorkDrive has limitations in sync and performance.
• There is Sync limitations which lacks the selective or block and make it inefficient for large files
• There is navigation issues like trash and shared items and tasks are hidden in menus.
• Large files uploading and downloading is very slow. The speed lacks
• In the storage part if we edit the file, the file takes the full file version and store it.
• Missing feature is there is no proper encryption for the files and folders.

It's easy to use and easy to maintain. It also provides many useful programs and plugins to make work even more productive; just check what's available and how you could use them to your advantage. Also, check the Nextcloud Files app on your phone, which makes everything available at the touch of your fingers.

Very user friendly and I've had difficulties with many other CRMs/ WorkDrives. This one is definitely top notch. In fact, I used Zoho WorkDrive back in 2015 for my first company, then I worked for a company which also used Zoho WorkDrive and now I have another company and we're using it again.

I never needed support as everything always worked fine. The documentation on Nextcloud website is extensive and clear. The community is very active on the forum and should support you if you don't already find what you are looking for.

Nextcloud stacks up pretty well against Mattermost and ownCloud. I really appreciate the fact that Nextcloud seems to integrate with other products pretty seamlessly and allows for extensibility that our product team can extend and improve functionality without a tremendous ramp-up time. We once used ownCloud in previous years, but they went the wrong way, and have found Nextcloud to be the right direction over time.

We are using IDrive e2 since last 2 year for NAS storage backup and Idrive e2 pricing are very budget friendly.

• It allowed us access to our files from any device over the internet.
• It helped manage and organize our file sharing with third parties.
• It provided a secure wrapper for accessing files.

• Zoho WorkDrive makes knowledge transfer process easy, when someone leaves or join company.
• Zoho WorkDrive helps engineers and developer sharing API docs, code snippet, RCA etc.
• Zoho WorkDrive is part of zoho workplace, so we don't have to invest on standalone apps and services.
