Notion

If you are generating a lot of content and working in a team environment, Notion is a clutch way to make sure that every member of the team is working on the same draft or version of your document. If you are in a process chain, it also becomes quite useful being able to drag the content card from one person's to do list from another's when it becomes their responsibility.

Pitch

In my personal opinion I think Pitch [is] one of the most powerful presentation tools for the modern times, it is useful for collaborative presentations for the teams and it can be used in almost each and every organization or firm. However, there should be free trials to make people aware about their features before buying it.

Pros

Notion

  • Notion is very easy to use and create content on. With other Wikis, you have to edit the page using widgets and never know what it will look like until you are done. With Notion you get to create in the same view that others will see when they view your page.
  • Notion is very clean and easy to read. There are a lot of different choices for how to format the content however you wold like.

Pitch

  • Wide range of templates.
  • Live editing.
  • Editing history and possibility to collaborate.

Cons

Notion

  • Sometimes the data functions are difficult to get working.
  • Wish there was an option for folders to better organized.
  • Formatting does not work well when using copy/paste or exporting to another type of file or document.

Pitch

  • Limited number of templates.
  • Features in mobile applications are very limited compared to desktop version.
  • Most of the features are in beta and hence unstable.

Alternatives Considered

Notion

I have replaced Evernote use with Notion. Evernote became just a place to shuffle resources to essentially read later, however products like Pocket have replaced that as well. Inclusion of the database approach from Notion far exceeds what Evernote offered. Evernote was good at keeping notes, but good portion of notes in my workflow are temporary and easy delete or archive.

Pitch

I have used only the desktop version of PowerPoint for my presentations. In comparison found pitch great as it has [the] option of live editing, [it] has so many templates for ease of making presentation. We can even work in teams, access all the old edits in the presentation and if we want we can even restore those edits. These features are amazing to work with.

Return on Investment

Notion

  • It reduces duplicative work as everyone is literally on the same page.
  • Allows multiple stages of the production to happen simultaneously without impeding the other, i.e. content editing and photo insertion can happen simultaneously once the draft is finished.

Pitch

  • Easier use
  • Very impactful
