Sage HRMS vs. Vultus Recruit

Sage HRMS is a software that fits in all organizations whether small or large and this makes it the most suitable HR solution as it will help you manage your workforce even if it may appear small. The software has analytics and reporting tools that are applicable in performance management where you will use them in assessing the productivity of your employees and plan on how to improve further as a workforce. It further helps in employee on-boarding, payroll management, and talent management

They need to improve a lot on their development side. The sales and marketing side does well to get clients but the development side is not able to compliment them in the way they represent it in front of the client. They need to work really hard on the UI/UX development side as the interface and experience are lacking a long way back. Other ATS in the market are way better. Vultus would be cheaper but they are nowhere near the competitors already available in the market. We saw a lesser rate and tried it for some time and we needed to switch back to our older ATS. So not a very good or pleasant experience with them but if they update and become a bit better then can have a good chance because they do good marketing. Also as they are cheap so the start-up company might prefer them but would be the first thing to be changed once the company goes into the higher revenue phase. Other than that they did not even have any extra thing, it was just like other ATS, and probably the better ones would be available than Vultus. Let's see how they go ahead and work out the tough competition in the market.

• Ability to see history (like job history) easily at a glance.

• We changed our chart of accounts. The system does not allow you to change the numbering format, so we had to start over with new databases.
• The tax return portion of the software does not file local taxes. We would definitely like to see this functionality in the future.
• The payroll piece does not handle complicated move up and move downs for union pay. This could definitely be improved upon.

• Their UI is very complex.
• Their UX is something like, on the first day you would miss your previous ATS.
• There is no ease of access
• Many options are for the same result, and reports are very deep inside the scrolls.

I do not work with this software anymore, and I am not involved with the renewal of it. However, if I were, I would still suggest using it unless something better was introduced

Sage HRMS was very cost effective for a non-profit. It does all that we needed as a company and more. It also allows us to handle payroll ourselves instead of outsourcing [it].

Vultus had no chance to stand against Ceipal or Bullhorn. Just their promotion and marketing team was good and secondly the customer service or the sales team. They showed us a good picture and gave us many options and also that we can customize it however we want. Also, it was cheaper than the other ones we were using. So we switched but literally after the training and all we started missing the prior ATS from which we switched to Vultus. The experience was not good, to be honest, and that was the reason we switched again from Vultus to Ceipal.

• there can be a high ROI when processing payroll in house compared to outsourced. Not to mention the flexibility you gain.

• Doesn't want to be specific but we have lost manpower efficiency due to the complex scrolls and options.
• Database was not updated properly as there were fewer options to put in notes and had many unnecessary options.
• Reports generation was a big task because the options and scrolls were hard to find and also too many options.
• Very confusing and as i said many options did the same thing.
