Likelihood to Recommend I think the best place for TimeClock Plus to work would be at a restaurant or a busy business that has a lot of people to track and needs a robust dashboard to keep things in order. For my organization, we only have around 10 people max per location and it was a bit too expensive and complex for our needs. We could use a simpler system.

If your employees are in a regular schedule (i.e. 9 to 5) with no overtime then WaspTime is well suited for you. In our case, we have different shifts, overtime, weekends, and double-overtime and we feel the software limitation since we have to double-check and use alternate Excel sheets to calculate the time. Our decision was also financial. We didn't want to pay every monthly forever, so in that aspect, WaspTime was one of the few prospects that kept it affordable.

Time goes from the swipe of a card to an accessible database that employees have access to immediately. Managers can review and adjust clocked times. Automatically generates reports, there are about 30-40 different available, but we only use one for payroll. Read full review Cons Would be nice to see at end of day hours currently worked. Instead you have to do this using another function. Should be simpler way of putting employee's schedule in time clock rather than copying and pasting week after week, month after month. Should be a way to archive old employees. Read full review Wasp Barcode Technologies
Doesn't calculate overtime for Canadian properly as our rules are slightly different and consider both daily and weekly total for overtime. Can't set own payroll cut off days, as a company we had to abide by their given rules. Problem calculating times for weeks splitting two cut-off periods. The problem is that the software is not considering the fact that the worker has worked the whole week and that the rest of the week is overtime. Read full review Support Rating The support representatives respond quickly and work hard to resolve every issue. They are always friendly and courteous. The email notifications are our most significant issue, and they are still not entirely resolved. I dislike having to sign forms to allow them access to the databases routinely...it seems this could be an annual document. Read full review Wasp Barcode Technologies
Alternatives Considered We switched to Namely for our HRIS system and they had a time tracking solution integrated within their software which made us no longer need to utilize TimeClock Plus. Namely's time tracking also flowed seamlessly into our payroll which made the process much simpler and easier to use. The reporting is also much easier to utilize.

In fact, I don't remember the names of all the competitors we compared. What I do remember is that WaspTime were one of the few that didn't have a monthly cost. We had to pay an upfront cost for the user license but that was it, and I think they were the only one doing that. One of the other requirements that it met was that it exports the times to our company accounting software, and they were the only one able to do it. Most competitors handle everything on the cloud. Sadly we haven't used that feature yet, we are happy the way it generates reports

Streamlining of the payroll process throughout the company. Having to manually calculate certain employee's times because the software can't handle certain situations. The ability to check someone's time whenever we want. Read full review ScreenShots
