Topic vs. WordTracker

Great at providing content briefs as well as for seeing the types of topics that rank well competitively. It's also good with finding content that needs to be refreshed which is a super easy way to drive near term SEO results.

To get a quick handle on keyword metrics and ideas, this tool really is idea. It is sooooooo much easier to work with than Semrush, which does a lot and is organized, on the whole, rather poorly.

• Over the years I have learned that WordTracker's KEI is particularly good at revealing a keyword's relative value.
• WordTracker finds related search terms which helps us develop a more comprehensive keyword strategy.
• WordTracker also enables practical sorting across columns which helps us select competitive keywords quickly.
• We use WordTracker frequently in our first phases of keyword research and have found it to be very solid.

• Using the GSC data to find new, adjacent content opportunities.
• They are using GPT-3 for title generation and would love to see it used to provide more content suggestions beyond the titles/descriptions
• Sometimes it doesn't surface 'questions' that people are asking related to lower volume terms but not sure of a way to solve that

• More accurate impression rate per phrase - even if a phrase gets only 15 impressions a month, those impressions might be valuable customers/sales.
• Pricing could be more affordable
• Better explore keywords that indicate a customer is ready to purchase

• Good bang for the buck.
• Makes the work flow easier by being able to extract data faster.
• Quick for my team to learn how to use.
• Lots of data. Really really lots of data.
• Good for general SEM and SEO work. Nice overall for nationwide campaigns. Since we are not uber local, no worries on the lack of the data there

Topic was way less costly than MarketMuse with similar functionality. It was agnostic to CMS (WordLift is designed for Wordpress only). So it was priced well with all the functionality we needed.

I only use WordTracker, rather than the old Google keyword research tool. In my experience, WordTracker is the best keyword analysis tool because it's easy to understand, use, and find the information for which you are looking. I also think WordTracker is the most well known and trusted amongst its competitors

• It has greatly reduced the number of hours our SEO team has to review content
• Has sped up our content briefs by hours per brief
• Great for helping us to see what content is performing well / needs help via the Google Search Console integration

• WordTracker helped come up with strong keywords for Search Ads which increased click throughs
• Helped maximize the keywords used on client websites and improve the quality of leads coming through
