Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Adobe Acrobat to review artworks and layout in my workplace. I also use it to edit some information on the layout and send them to the graphics team for they to work.

Pros

  • Show the file clearly
  • Edit files
  • Add comments

Cons

  • Allow to edit as the customer needs without any restriction.
  • Charge the files speedily.

Likelihood to Recommend

To review and add comments on layouts or files. The less appropriate scenario is that for file with high weight, sometimes we need to wait so the file can download or charge.

Amazing Adobe Acrobat

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Adobe Acrobat on a daily basis to help organize and manage my PDFs! Most days I'm having to do some form of PDF organization so combining PDFs and shifting pages around! We also use more specific tools within Adobe Acrobat like using print production to easily adjust the sizes of the PDFs, and creating editable PDFs for clients.

Pros

  • Ability to manipulate a PDF in various ways.
  • Print production is incredibly helpful for checking off and making sure PDFs are ready for print.
  • Commenting in Adobe Acrobat is awesome! So nice to be able to hand off a PDF and get it back with edits that are easy to navigate and resolve!

Cons

  • For as amazing as Adobe Acrobat is, a lot of the time it does feel like one of the more clunky and slow Adobe programs.
  • Ability to edit text! Adobe Acrobat sometimes struggles with fonts and editing the text ends up messing with the text in weird ways.
  • It would be cool to have multiple versions of the same preflight single fixups! I use the same single fixup but need to adjust it for multiple sizes! I'd like to be able to save another version of it with the different sizes.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think managing any kind of PDF that needs comments or small adjustments, Adobe Acrobat is the easiest and most seamless to use.

  • Frequent crashes

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Adobe acrobat for creating and editing secure PDF document. It serves as a standard tool for document management which make sures consistency in sharing material internally in out team. We use it for merging reports, adding digital signatures and converting it various file formats into standard pdf and apply password protection for confidential information

Pros

  • PDF editing
  • Securing PDF files
  • Collaboration and editing tool
  • Merging reports

Cons

  • The Adobe Acrobat desktop app is useful but is resource hungry it works great for Mac OS but will struggle for windows laptops
  • The user interface is quiet complex for basic task

Likelihood to Recommend

When working in a team we need to review and annotate the official document like project proposal or technical specification it helps in finalizing official documents and securing the document for professional deliverables. It also helps me in compressing large pdf files without 0 any major loss in the pdf quality

Adobe Acrobat Usage

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Adobe Acrobat for reading and signing PDF at work. I e-sign contracts and agreements. I've made PDFs and flyers. I think Adobe Acrobat is really useful for signing contracts. Some other services are less straightforward for those who may not be technologically apt, but Acrobat makes it easy for everyone to receive information and sign what needs to be signed.

Pros

  • Sharing PDFS
  • E-signing PDFS
  • Creating PDFS

Cons

  • The cancellation fee is unfair
  • I don't like that the setup automatically installs MacAfee virus protection
  • The program often freezes on me

Likelihood to Recommend

I really only need to open PDFs a lot of the time, and Acrobat sometimes overcomplicates that a teeny tiny bit. I think that it used to be easier to use but now it feels slower, there's a lot of pop ups, and maybe too many features. It feels that it has lost its focus.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Adobe Acrobat in my day to day work in order to open, view, and edit various PDF files. The summarize feature is also useful for having to read through long and complex files.

Pros

  • Summarize
  • Open PDFs
  • Edit PDFs

Cons

  • Stability

Likelihood to Recommend

It is very well suited for opening and viewing PDFs. It can also be used to edit them, but it does struggle with stability issues and isn't well suited for creating PDFs from scratch.

A Powerful Tool for Reading and Organizing Documents

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I personally use Adobe Acrobat to organize many PDFs of research articles into portfolios. This allows me to find articles that I need to access quickly from one place instead of opening them from my computer's file system. I also use Adobe Acrobat to create fillable documents that are used for students or staff workflows.

Pros

  • Combining multiple document types into a single PDF
  • Organizing multiple documents into Portfolios for ease of access and searching
  • Creating online forms that can be signed digitally

Cons

  • I'd love for the AI assistant to be standard and not require an additional license.
  • When running OCR on a document, I'd love if the quality of the document is retained. There is often a reduction in quality where the document looks slightly blurry.

Likelihood to Recommend

Adobe Acrobat is best suited for reading, creating, and organizing documents. While editing documents is useful, it is sometimes difficult to match fonts if the document does not use the same fonts. It is understandable since Adobe Acrobat is not necessarily an editing tool, but has some editing features, however, it is not as easy as it seems and often those edited parts of the document look a little off.

Adobe Acrobat for great workflow.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I mostly use Adobe Acrobat for our review process for marketing materials. It is an easy way to share information and get feedback across departments. I also use it to create forms.

Pros

  • Easily combine several pdf files
  • Easily share and receive feedback
  • Easily make sure files has proper print separation for offset printing

Cons

  • When you make a comment it doesn't start right where you clicked and can make comments confusing if the user doesn't specify exactly where they are commenting. I find that people assume that where they click is where the comment bubble starts and it moves when you zoom in and out.

Likelihood to Recommend

Again great for proofing, great for file sharing and also great for forms.

Great Option for Comprehensive Features

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Adobe Acrobat in my organization to view documents, organize pages, extract pages, redact information, add OCR to documents, and send documents out for signatures. The problems that Adobe Acrobat addresses are that the native application for viewing documents on my Macbook work laptop, Preview, does not have extensive features the way Adobe Acrobat does. I might be able to get these tasks done if I figure out some workarounds, but it’s much more efficient to be able to complete everything with one app that’s intuitive to use.

Pros

  • Organizing pages in documents
  • Preparing and sending documents for signatures
  • Redacting sensitive information from documents

Cons

  • Ability to turn off AI features from appearing

Likelihood to Recommend

Adobe Acrobat is useful if your department already has a subscription to the Adobe Creative Cloud. It may be less appropriate if your organization is on a budget and therefore must rely on native applications to meet their needs. Ultimately it is up to an organization to assess their budget and compare it to how much use they would get out of the application.
