Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

I work with Illustrator most of the time and save nearly all my work as PDF to ensure it can be shared easily and viewed in Adobe Acrobat. I find Adobe Acrobat essential for viewing PDF documents as they are meant to be viewed and also the ability to edit, combine, and make forms from them is a great help. Invaluable to my workflow

Pros

  • Allows me to edit my PDF documents for text errors or simple changes
  • Allows me to create forms from documents I have made in Illustrator
  • Allows me to view documents as they were intended and make notes for sharing

Cons

  • When editing a document it can feel 'clunky' I understand that it's out of the original setting but I do feel less confident with this and will usually go back and edit the original document
  • I find the creation of text blocks when I'm talking a from to be sometimes frustrating. If I'm not careful I find that text entered in one will repeat in another if I have simply copied the boxes to make them consistent
  • It would be hard to be taken seriously if I were not using Adobe Acrobat I believe
  • It affords me the option to had extra content to documents such as forms that can be engaged with or sharing notes.
  • I can combine documents, omit pages, and reduce the size of them all within one software
  • Scalability
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
Integration with other systems, it's essential that I can send met documents to others and that they can read/view them in the way I have intended. With the free version most can easily see them this way and with my professional version I can refine them to be as I originally intend them. I can then receive feedback from clients within the document and make relevant changes. It's a great software but overlooked as it's a workhorse and just gets the job done.
It's reassuring to have that in mind and to not have that concern hanging over you when using any software. Adobe pay a great deal of attention to such matters which leaves me to get on with being creative, a factor that is greatly appreciated
Preview is a great, quick tool for viewing docs or images but doesn't always show PDF files as they are intended as it doesn't have all the features that Adobe Acrobat does and nor does it attempt to. I't merely a quick route to checking something out for me. I wouldn't use Preview to look properly at a PDF doc or try and edit it at all so it really doesn't compare despite doing a similar job

Do you think Adobe Acrobat delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

It's a great tool for viewing PDF documents, for adding notes and sharing changes, for creating forms from simple documents. To get signatures from others for more official documents and being the most trusted platform for PDF. Preview is possibly the only other and I wouldn't feel confident that I was seeing the doc as it was intended by viewing on that platform.
