I'm in with Adyen!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Adyen is a fantastic service. We have NEVER had a service disruption. Just the opposite, Adyen helped us through several incidents where we were being carded or otherwise targeted. Of gateways in the market, Adyen has some of the easiest-to-use interfaces, a fantastic set of fraud management tools, an actual omnichannel presence (with access to high-quality POS devices), and most importantly, a world-class customer success team that is always in our corner. I'd strongly recommend it to anyone looking for an omnichannel gateway or needing a gateway to be integrated into their commerce platform or ERP.

Pros

  • Omnichannel Payment Collection
  • Fraud Mitigation
  • Cost Effective
  • Reliable Gateway Services
  • International Payment Collection
  • Customer Service

Cons

  • Would like more options for hardened POS terminals

Return on Investment

  • We were able to deploy omnichannel payment collection, thereby unifying customer experiences and increasing our ability to understand and market to customers.

Bottle Shock

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Adyen is a our payment processor for physical retail storefronts, e-commerce, and call center/concierge, all of which utilize Dynamics 365 F&O, which Adyen is out-of-box solution for. The call center manages our wine club subscriptions, or in other words re-occurring transactions. We are about to launch wallet payments on our e-commerce store utilizing the built-in integration Adyen provides.

Pros

  • Integrates well with D365 FO
  • Wallet Payment integration
  • Customer portal

Cons

  • Would like to see some additional offering for payment terminals
  • QR code payments
  • Pay by Phone App, with no needed development for customers.

Return on Investment

  • Wallet Payments gives seamless checkout to customer

Adyen rocks

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Adyen processes our payments and we manage our chargebacks as well in Adyen.

Pros

  • Easy access to various reports
  • The "Insights" section that shows the data in a user friendly way
  • It's relatively easy to add new payment methods

Cons

  • I would like to be able to create my own reports, like a combination between "Received payment details" and "Interactive payment accounting".
  • Maybe you can have a better integration with PayPal. The disputes are reflected all wrong in Adyen, for example if we accept a chargeback in PayPal, in Adyen we see a "chargeback reversed" status first, then we see a "refund" status. This is very confusing for us, we have accepted that chargeback, which means we have lost the case, what are a Chargeback Reversed and a Refund statuses doing here? I think PayPal is trying to unblock the transaction that received the chargeback, but this is a very confusing way of handling the chargebacks. If I look at the "Dispute transaction details" reports, all the PayPal chargebacks are "won" because of that "Chargeback reversed" status, which is obviously wrong, we lose some cases and we win others.
  • Amex chargebacks could be integrated. We don't see them in Adyen at all.

Return on Investment

  • It has improved our chargeback ETA.
  • It has improved our authorization rates with Revenue Accelerate, Network tokens and Account updater.

Secure and Trusted Payment Service Provider

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

One of my B2B clients is using an online channel and accepting orders worldwide. During covid time business needs to collect fund while ordering keeping in mind specific payment options and security. Also, businesses want a list of specific payment options which should be available in Europe, China, and the US region. For these regions, businesses that want the list of payment options should be configurable so that options can be available based on the region the customers belong to. Also, businesses are looking for a solution that is already PCI DSS Compliant so that businesses do not have to worry about it. So Adyen fulfills all of these requirements and it is widely used in Europe as well.

Pros

  • PCI DSS Compliant Solution
  • Provided options to configure a specific list of payments, like Alipay, ACH, PayPal, etc.
  • Good support and quick solution for the technical help
  • Well described documentation on technical integrations
  • Drop in framework to display the payment options

Cons

  • Payment APIs and frameworks are getting upgraded but using updated features requires changes on the implementation side.
  • Sometimes error messages are not self-explanatory and we need to connect to support.
  • Adyen portal should support more languages.

Most Important Features

  • Payment type configuration
  • Different payment options based on region
  • Easy integration with application using different way
  • Easy to use and implement API integrations
  • Reports and details for business
  • Drop in framework integration in easy steps

Return on Investment

  • After implementing payment integration, payment of B2B orders is instant which really helps business financial planning.
  • Using Adyen payment integration, businesses are also able to provide payment options based on their geography.
  • It provides multi-currency support.
  • It also provides key and secret-based security for sites and origin.
