Pros
Leaving notes is a simple process
It easily displays candidate information
It easily tracks similar profiles
Cons
Organization
There should be a quicker process to hire candidates
Likelihood to Recommend
It’s well suited to track calls, phone interviews, and various notes to leave to other recruiters or people who view the profile. It’s less appropriate to access when viewing people who applied to the job positions because most of the candidates are not qualified.
We use AkkenCloud for applicant tracking, notes on employees/employers, contact information for employees/employers, job postings to our website, placing employees on assignment, and billing information for our employers. It helps us stay organized by being able to keep track of our employees, as we have multiple recruiters that may come across the same employee when sourcing. It is also helpful when we input employees' time cards/hours into AkkenCloud for billing purposes.
Pros
Applicant tracking
Job posting
Uploading resumes into AkkenCloud and updating their information
Cons
Sometimes it does not obtain all of the information when the resumes are uploaded
It logs me out randomly on occasion
Likelihood to Recommend
AkkenCloud is great for applicant tracking systems. It is also beneficial when it comes to accounting, invoicing, and billing. It is really good at communicating with other apps/programs, and it is very easy to upload contact information for candidates.
Akken is our CRM/ATS and our primary focus as a Staffing Agency is recruiting and tracking candidates for our clients, so functionally, AKKEN is the perfect tool. We were one of Akken's first customers, and have been with them through a lot of changes. Overall, the system has improved dramatically over the past 10-11 years that we have been using it. It is not the perfect system by any means, but it has workarounds for most of the issues, and in their defense, it's nearly impossible to design a system that is one size fits all for every recruiting group because every recruiter and every recruiting company has their own way of doing things.
Pros
Cloud Access
Parsing
Intuitive
Cons
System glitches or slow-downs
Database Manipulability
Customer Service

I don't know many other scenarios, as I have been with this company for 13 years and in this industry for roughly 25 years. It is a tool that is well suited for our company and this industry in general. As a staffing company, you can accomplish nearly everything imaginable with this tool. The only area I have seen that might not be ideal is if you wanted to run all kinds of metrics. You can run a variety of reports in Akken, the data fields are limited sometimes and one would think that wouldn't need to be the case. You should be able to put whatever data you want in any field to create the report you need.
Akken is our ATS system that we use to manage all of our candidates and clients. We use the Akkencloud for our entire organization and it has helped us tremendously in terms of management and organization. We also utilize the features to roll out our offers and issue our compliance documents.
Pros
Successfully Manage candidates and maintain statuses
Integrate applications into our internal database for quick access
Track and manage clients and flag for when updates are needed
Cons
Limit windows opened
Allow back option to stop opening too many windows

Akkencloud has worked extremely well as an ATS software for our recruiting firm. We deal with a huge volume of clients and candidates and it is difficult to track and manage the different orders and people we have in play. The statuses and on stop shop for requisition details have made things tremendously easy to give real time updates to our managers and client partners.
Akken is used by all of us in the company. Personally, I use it for its applicant tracking functions. It helps me to keep organized and know where I am with candidates throughout to process, from initial contact to a job offer. Because my coworkers can access all notes as well, this helps to avoid any confusion. Had I been using just a spreadsheet that was accessible to only me, my teammates wouldn't know what was going on in my process. Our office manager and CEO use Akken for its back-office functions as well.
Pros
Applicant tracking - organized system that stores notes, documents, status
Payroll
Client tracking - ability to save info on our clients. This lets us associates job orders and candidates with the company so that we may view all submissions to them on one page.
Cons
Customer service - it has been harder to reach them recently.
Outlook Sync - was going well and useful at first, but had trouble after the last update. This may be my computer vs. Akken, but we haven't been able to contact customer service to get it resolved.

Akken is great for recruiting/staffing agencies. We have a lot of job orders to juggle but having Akken makes it very doable. The function of being able to save not only candidates but also clients (companies) is definitely needed for agencies. It's best used when you have a candidate's resume in the form of a document/PDF so that Akken can parse the content. In a scenario when you don't yet have a resume doc but still want to have a candidate profile for the sake of tracking notes, it's helpful that you can do that without a resume or much content. Akken may not be as helpful for internal recruiters with lower volumes.
is a great cloud-based ATS tool that offers a complete suite of features.
This tool is currently being used on a daily basis by my whole organization in
order to manage large amounts of data which are related to employees,
customers, contacts, and even billing. This product has undoubtedly provided my
company with a ‘One Stop Solution’ to solve all the problems. AkkenCloud is a
very easy-to-use tool with a very user-friendly interface so the usability
increases with that as well.
Pros
This tool offers a very user-friendly and intuitive interface along with mobile device integration.
This product has provided us with great customer service because whenever we faced any problems the tool took quick measures to solve those.
Also, I really liked the fact that the tool has given us the positive impact of setup CRM groups just to add employees.
Moreover, this tool is one of the very few and good systems that caters to all the applicant tracking information.
Cons
I feel that the emails should be slightly quick instead of causing a hassle to the user because of going to the server after every 5 minutes.
At a few instances I experienced that the system crashed for no specific reason which was an off because it just caused disturbances.

It
would not be wrong to say that working with this tool was a very good, pleasant, and positive experience. This tool has been used throughout the organization
on a daily basis due to which I find it to be very handy, effective, and
efficient. Also, I think that for the most optimal level results it is
important for companies to use this system on a daily basis. Altogether, this
tool is a great system and I would highly recommend it.
We use it as an ATS system for a recruiting business. We also use it for various other functions related to staffing as it helps with configuring payroll for contractors and managing their assignments. It is supposed to handle both sides of this business efficiently.
Pros
It's cloud based which is convenient.
It's tailored to the staffing industry so has a lot to do with the assignments and billing.
There are required fields so recruiters can't just skip steps when they feel like rushing.
Cons
This is the worst ATS I've ever used. It's hard to find what you need. It's not set up in a coherent manner and things are all over the place.
I have to download a resume just to view it.
The parse function only works in Internet Explorer and it works poorly then. Makes it impossible to tell if its actually a duplicate because it flags everything.
No section for meaningful notes. Notes are all just reports of action.
No way to make it efficient for direct hires. All geared towards staffing so it makes you fill out non-sense information that will be inaccurate and irrelevant just to satisfy field requirements.
Likelihood to Recommend
Akken could be described to be suitable for a staffing company but just spend more money on a product that is worthwhile. It is really a terrible ATS and it's a sad fact that I was not here for the selection process. Apparently people pushed for Bullhorn but it was deemed too expensive. That is shortsighted.
I used AkkenCloud when I was a recruiter at The Liberty Group. It was our candidate/employee and client database and was used company-wide.
Pros
Applicant Tracking - good central system for all applicant tracking information
User Friendly - AkkenCloud was user friendly and easy to use.
CRM Groups - I really enjoyed the ability to set up CRM groups to add my employees to.
Cons
I had issues with AkkenCloud randomly shutting down.
Payroll - AkkenCloud wasn't as user friendly when I was trying to input time and process payroll.
Likelihood to Recommend
AkkenCloud was definitely a positive experience for me. My position at The Liberty Group was my first position as a recruiter so AkkenCloud was my first introduction to any kind of Applicant Tracking software. My experience with AkkenCloud was positive, the system was easy to use.
AkkenCloud is being used by our whole company to manage vast amounts of data related to employees, contacts, customers, vendors and billing. It provides a "one stop" place to seek all information for application.
Pros
Automatically keeps a record of activities such as email conversations related to a candidate.
Time and date stamp on events logged to a candidate and customer is a great resource.
Completing full company profiles with all contacts is very helpful for later efficiency.
Cons
The fact that you can't copy and paste from one email message over to a new email message you are composing is a huge downfall.
The task and calendar features don't seem as easy to use as Microsoft Outlook.
If the calendar would sync to Google that would be awesome!
Likelihood to Recommend
The software is best suited for anyone reviewing and hiring candidates.
