We use Attentive Mobile to coordinate, schedule, and analyze SMS campaigns for our enterprise. The problems it addresses are how can we communicate with customers on a more immediate level. We have been attempting to personalize content in an effort to make our brand appear more human and thus increase conversion rates.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Attentive Mobile to send all of our adhoc and journey emails as well as SMS campaigns. Our production team builds email in the platform and our digital marketing team schedule email and SMS sends, update journeys, build journeys, and perform A/B testing.

Pros

  • The support team we work with are really knowledgeable and helpful.
  • Campaign set up and scheduling is extremely easy.
  • The platform is constantly updating with new features.
  • Reporting is very easy to pull.

Cons

  • I wish the scheduling calendar also showed draft campaigns, not just those that are scheduled.
  • It is a little difficult to delete old saved rows.
  • It is difficult to delete old automated recommendation zones.

Attentive Mobile is a true partner. They give great recommendations for improving your email and SMS program that work. They respond timely and give detailed and thorough information. The platform is very user friendly and intuitive. The platform has been very reliable with minimal bugs, if any.

Contract Nightmare

I believe that Attentive Mobile has predatory contracts with zero concessions. They may have a high growth rate, but I'd invite researchers to figure out how many of those companies are tied to a contract for up to 2 years that they cannot break with any form of concessions. When you try to talk to anyone higher than a young entry level sales person, you do not get a response. Once they have your money and contract, the customer service is poor and with my experience trying to solve real world problems companies are facing this year, Attentive Mobile does little to help their clients succeed in their goals overall.

I would not recommend Attentive Mobile to anyone in the relationship driven internet marketing world for the main reason that they become cost prohibitive over time. I believe they only want to bury you deeper in a contract when you want to make changes for the better of your business concerning SMS management. I would actually advise people AGAINST using Attentive Mobile if they asked me about my experience. Not because they aren't user friendly, but because I think their legal team runs the show and I think they do not do anything to truly help their clients grow as an overall entity. DO NOT GET INTO A CONTRACT WITH THEM EVER. You're better off getting discount on the non-contract version.

We use Attentive as our SMS platform. We’ve used them for about 3 years. Highly recommend. Great CSM service and definitely trailblazers in this space. They have a ton of resources and best practices

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Attentive Mobile as our SMS marketing platform, and several clients have adopted it. We have built-in systems for email, social, and search, but Attentive Mobile came in as a great third-party for us to enable SMS campaigns. A couple of our marketing team members manage the accounts for our clients.

  • Ability to create/customize different creatives
  • Helpful customer service and client support team

Cons

  • Agency billing is a little messy
  • Reporting is all Excel based, not interactive
  • Occasional (rare) bugs in the UI

Likelihood to Recommend

Attentive Mobile is great for those who actively want to build and talk to their community. The goal is to send two messages per week to optimize revenue while balancing out unsubscribes. If a client has trouble with content or finding appropriate marketing messages to send, Attentive Mobile might not be a good fit.

We use Attentive Mobile to speak with customers and inform them of product launches and promos. We find this to be a great personalization tool! Would love to tap into the transactional text messages as we go into 2021.

I think attentive is great if you're aiming to grow you business and know that SMS is right for your customers. I believe that it is a costly investment but the return is great!
