I'd recommend Brightmine pay benchmarking tool to all reward professionals

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Brightmine's benchmarking tool. It has great source of HE sector data which we can't find in other resources we have access too. So it's very handy.

Pros

  • Live data outputs.
  • Able to dig down to industries.
  • Able to dig down to locations.

Cons

  • Can include a list of participating companies in the benchmarking input used in your Excel downloads.
  • Website can be improved.

Return on Investment

  • Can see which levels we pay less than our pay philosophy, and demonstrate that we need to increase our pay ranges where needed, without which we may lose talented staff.

Well-structured and informative webinars.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Brightmine for a variety of reasons. Personally, I find Brightmine most useful for keeping up to date with employment law changes. Brightmine makes legal transitions much easier by providing tools and resources that we can adapt and implement. I always look forward to attending their well-structured and informative webinars.

Pros

  • Breaking down complex legislative changes.
  • The webinars are always useful and engaging.

Cons

  • The website is ok - I wish it were a bit more user-friendly. Sometimes the search function is lacking, and it can take time to find relevant information.

Return on Investment

  • Hard to provide an ROI. I am one of a few users on my team. In some ways, it has saved time on research, as all the information is consolidated in one place, and you could argue that it has helped mitigate risk. I would have to say the ROI is low to medium.

Brightmine has information you can trust!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It helps ensure policy compliance with the ever-changing rules and regulations. We have to ensure that the policies we offer to clients meet the local laws, down to the city and county regs. Being able to see a side-by-side comparison of the differences between the various cities/states really helps us customize the products that we offer clients. Brightmine keeps us in the loop with a calendar of all regulatory changes by city, state, and jurisdiction since it can vary from state to state or across a singular state. Reminders of deadlines are easily synced with your outlook so you can always see what's pending and upcoming.

Pros

  • State comparisons.
  • Upcoming compliance deadlines.
  • Pending regulatory changes.

Cons

  • More charts would be helpful.
  • More emphasis on court cases pending.
  • Regs to watch where courts could deem them as illegal.

Return on Investment

  • Time on research.
  • Definitely reduced time and money spent dealing with legal.

  • Create better tools for matching organisational roles with the Brightmine benchmark roles. This is a difficult exercise at the moment.

Return on Investment
