Those falling into the mature but expensive category were ServiceNow, BMC, Desk.com and Cherwell, which was less expensive than these others but not by much. … Cherwell is more expensive (of course) compared to the home-grown ITSM solution that we previously used, so it has cost us more in capital outlay and it will continue to do so.

We also looked at Service Now - however the cost difference between Service Now and Cherwell was so much that even with a few features we did not get with Cherwell, it was a much better value.

We then looked at RemedyForce because one region had recently implemented it.
We settled on Cherwell because of its placement...

I also look at pricing/features as a package when comparing products. … I wouldn't recommend using something like Cherwell in a small organization that doesn't plan to manage its workflows and assets within a single system unless there is a plan for growth and expansion.

Also expensive for smaller customers.
Remedy was scaled more for enterprise customers where we are small to mid-sized.
FootPrints - we replaced FootPrints with Cherwell due to a lack of BMC...
