Reviews From Top Reviewers

Community Insights

TrustRadius Insights are summaries of user sentiment data from TrustRadius reviews and, when necessary, 3rd-party data sources. Have feedback on this content? Let us know!

Engaging assessment experience: Users have found CodinGame to be a fun and engaging internal quiz/self-learning tool. They mentioned that candidates don't even realize they are completing an assessment because they are engaged in playing and building a game while coding.

Comprehensive evaluation of candidates: Users appreciated that CodinGame provides a comprehensive evaluation of candidates, including multiple choice questions and coding blocks to assess coding skills. They found the overall performance displayed clearly, making it easy to assign a score. Some users also highlighted the convenience of reviewing tests and points in open questions.

Easy to use with wide customization options: Users found it easy to create ad-hoc technical assessments within minutes using CodinGame. They also appreciated the availability of multiple levels and languages, allowing for a broader candidate pool. Additionally, CodinGame offers a good baseline for comparing candidates' performance and serves its intended purpose effectively, adding value to the recruitment process.

High Cost: Some users mention the high cost of the platform and suggest implementing an on-demand payment structure to make it more affordable. They find the current pricing model to be prohibitive for small companies.

Lack of Coverage in Certain Technologies: Users feel that the coverage of questions could be better, specifically in cloud technologies. They would like to see more questions related to cloud computing and other emerging technologies.

Limited Interaction between Hiring Personnel and Candidates: Some users express disappointment with the lack of interaction between hiring personnel and candidates. They suggest incorporating more engagement features, such as chat or video functionality, to improve communication and connection during the hiring process.

Users highly recommend CG as a valuable solution for recruiters handling multiple open positions in the field of development. They find it helpful in providing additional resources to recruit technical individuals.

Reviewers suggest checking if interview questions have already been published on CG to avoid candidates googling the answers during the interview process.

When using CG for interviews, it is recommended to start with senior or expert level questions. This approach challenges candidates and reduces the chances of them easily finding answers online, leading to more accurate assessments of their skills and knowledge.

CodinGame for Work

As a Technical Recruiter, I am in charge of processing 10+ candidates per day, screening and interviewing can become a bottleneck. I use CodinGame to filter and discard candidates that do not meet the minim filtering criteria, optimizing everyone's time. I always get feedback from users/candidates and they all refer to it as a simple and straightforward application. The fact that they get instant feedback is one of the most desired features.
  • Create ad-hoc technical assessments within minutes.
  • Email bulk invites.
  • Candidates get instant feedback.
Cons
  • Adding cutting-edge technologies in a faster way.
  • adding a "register link" so you can use a public link instead of personalized invitations.
  • Additional reporting and analyzing capabilities.
If you are a tech recruiting, you might need to use an automation tool such as this. It will be more suitable for junior profile sourcing. Less appropriate for senior or architect-level openings. Great for technology-specific assessments, less appropriate for a full-stack technical assessment which will take 2 hours of the candidate's time.
  • Automation.
  • Personalizacion.
  • Bulk capabilities.
  • Saved us team-wide 30+ working hours a week.
  • Help us compare internal from external talent.
  • Better candidate experience.
