Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We provide training and grants for gender equity advocacy. Therefore we have a need to provide acceptance emails/letters to participants that have personalized data from our Salesforce system. We use Conga Composer to create and send these acceptance letters, and also grant agreements with personalized details. We also use Conga Composer to generate word documents for our Communications team to develop leader biographies from data collected in onboarding forms. Finally, our development team uses Conga Composer to create and send custom donation acknowledgement emails and letters.

Pros

  • Makes generating personalized documents easy for the user
  • Easy to send emails and letters that are generated
  • Customization of solutions is robust

Cons

  • Developing solutions is not entirely intuitive but there is strong documentation on how to do it
  • Automatic spacing in emails is not always ideal

Likelihood to Recommend

Conga Composer works very well for creating personalized emails, letters, and documents using data that has been collected in Salesforce. The Conga Composer/Salesforce integration is robust and allows for using data from many different Salesforce objects. It is very easy for the user to generate emails, letters, and documents -- the user can also select different templates when generating an email, letter or document.

Conga Composer Review

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Conga has been used for certain scenarios, like there are specific AI use cases where they want to convert space to text and text to space. That’s where we’ve used Conga Composer — to compose that entire conversation and store it into Salesforce objects.

Pros

  • The product—well, I wouldn’t say translates, but it actually converts voice to text very well. It understands the use case pretty well in terms of what the user is saying, and then it converts that into text and stores it in the Salesforce variables, either within a custom object or a standard object.

Cons

  • I wouldn’t say there’s anything that needs improvement, but if there’s something that can be done, I would say we can actually try to plug it into the existing AgentForce, because customers may not want to purchase something extra. If it can be integrated with AgentForce, that would be really good.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think it is suited whenever you’re using it for certain use cases. For example, when you have a use case where you are traveling — mostly MRs or sales reps who are on the field — they would want to use this product because they don’t want to type a lot. Rather, they can just press the voice button and record their voice. The agent should be able to do the authoring, and the Composer should be able to convert that into text and store it. So those use cases are pretty cool for Conga Composer. But for certain cases where you may not want to use voice a lot and instead rely more on typing or writing, those may not be good use cases.

Very helpful in creating documents within minutes

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Conga to generate automated documents directly from salesforce. It saves a lot of time because previously, we used to create manual documents by copying data from salesforce to word or pdf which was never perfect. Furthermore, they were not formatted properly because every team use their own format and slowed our responses. by using Conga, we can easily generate documents from salesforce directly using the data available and send them to clients. There are so many pre-made templates available to choose from and the growth of our company increased by using this simple automation.

Pros

  • It allows us to generate multiple documents at once using batch generation. This simple automation saves a lot of time for our team.
  • Its very user friendly. Even a newbie can simply generate document by clicking a button once this is setup by the admin.
  • Integrate Conga Sign with Conga Composer and it will automatically sent for e- signature once generated saving lot of time. we previously had to wait a lot for the signature.

Cons

  • No realtime review of what your document is gonna look like. Team has to generate a document first just to check how it looks which slows down template testing.
  • Pricing can be a issue for new business as your tier will increase if you need more users or generate a lot documents. I think flexible pricing options should be there.
  • If this app missed any field from salesforce while generating the document, errors are too confusing for a normal user and cannot be resolved without developers support.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you have to create a lot of documents and your work involves sharing documents for the clients, this app is a must. Our team uses it for sales pricing and quotes. Legal team will also find it helpful while generating NDAs or contracts from the templates of their choice. <div>

Cons

  • Not very intuitive. Once you know the system it's fine but there is a learning curve

Conga Composer was the perfect solution for creating Employee Benefit Booklets. Pulling the data from our CMS and making it professional and user friendly. We build several of these per week for our clients and they are always so pleased with how great they look. We update the template yearly so they follow a similar structure but have a slightly updated appearance each year.
