Freshteam and Freshworks: Be Warned about Downgrading
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
After our experience with Freshteam/Freshworks, we would not recommend upgrading to any premium level of Freshteam. If you ever want to downgrade back to the free version, they force you to manually delete all premium add ons (e.g., all job postings, custom time off policies, etc.). We requested to downgrade, but each downgrade request was denied since we were unable to figure out how to delete the custom time off policies. We were unwillingly charged because of this. We sent many customer service requests and emails, and the tickets were either closed without being resolved, or we were told that the issue was being sent to a different team. I feel like this is a scam, and it seems like it violates many consumer rights.
Pros
- Charging us without consent
- Refusing to downgrade us
- Refusing to help with the issue that they were using as an excuse to continue charging us without consent
Likelihood to Recommend
We put 1, since 0 isn't an option. Instead of simply not recommending Freshteam, we are now going out of our way to warn future clients of theirs of their scam-like behavior if that's any indication of how bad they are as a company.
