Instapage is a great solution for building sales pages or lead capture pages. We use it on a lot of pages for companies we work with and possible marketing pages. It's easy to use and simple to set up copies of pages. We like the ability to quickly design a lead capture page or landing page.
Instapage was used by People's Trust Insurance to design and deploy landing pages. The program allowed us to leverage a simple template and create pages with highly relevant content for our paid search and direct mail campaigns. It was used primarily by the marketing department which free resources from the IT department who had previously developed landing pages. Additionally, Instapage solved site performance problems. Because Instapage is hosted in the cloud, it did not tax our hosting. Finally, it also solved the issue of speed. This program allowed us to design and deploy pages on the fly with minimal QA testing. The program did not require any advanced technical skills and it was easy to import images, content, and links from our in-house content library.
Pros
Instapage performs well with good site speed as it is hosted in the cloud.
Instapage provides excellent cross-domain attribution so that we could analyze marketing results.
Instapage is particularly good at setup process. It was easy to leverage templates and forms to develop lead capture landing pages.
Instapage is very good at processing edit and changes to site content.
Instapage makes it very easy to set up vanity URLs that are easy for customers to recognize.
Cons
Instapage could use improvement in its SEO optimization tools to help landing pages get ranked on Google.
Instapage could benefit from more dynamic content functionality where the content changes based on the source of traffic or the user behavior
Instapage could improve its reporting on traffic and related digital marketing metrics.

Instapage is well suited to setting up landing pages that are designed for a specific marketing campaign. I have used Instapage to develop and deploy landing pages for Google and BING paid search advertising campaigns. This way, even though the pages were similar, Adword groups could have specific content displayed without extensive IT support or programming. Furthermore, once a page was shown to deliver excellent performance and high conversion, it is easy to replicate the winning page format for other campaigns. The only area that Instapage was less appropriate was in situations where multi-variant AB testing or the delivery of dynamic content was required. There was limited AB testing functionality and there was limited dynamic content capabilities.
Instapage is a landing page tool that helps companies of various sizes, or extremely large size crate pages to direct customers outside of your existing website, store, etc. Targeted landing pages help optimize messages for use with direct or paid media ensuring that messaging is specific to the customer and resulting in more conversions.

Cons

Instapage is well suited for small and nimble marketers with decent support from their design team that is capable to provide web assets. But the nice thing is it enables competent, savvy marketers the tools to generate landing pages at will without waiting on long design processes. That is the real value here.
We use Instapage to easily create beautiful responsive landing pages for many of our agency clients. Generally speaking, it's pretty intuitive and easy to use, no coding skills are needed but one of the things we love about Instapage is that you can build something beautiful in just a few hours. If you are doing any campaign and need a landing page that looks good and works, it's a great solution for your business.

If you are not a programmer or you don't how to use your CMS. Instapage is just perfect to easily create and deploy amazing landing pages for your campaigns. You can even remotely co-work and collaborate with your team working on the design in real-time.
If you know how to code or manage your own CMS, Instapage perhaps won't be a good fit and definitely more expensive.
We use InstaPage to create all campaign landing page content for our business. Well-suited for simple landing pages which don't have any complex functionality. Great for creating landing pages for lead generation campaigns - as it comes with tons of excellent templates and a variety of forms. Not great for pages that contain a lot of information and can potentially be very long. We found that Instapage is not a great fit for building pages that need to be updated frequently, like a blog page.
We started using Instapage to quickly create landing pages for our PPC campaigns. The process is quick and I love that we can tailor each landing page to specific ad groups. Thanks to Instapage, we no longer need to wait for several weeks until the dev team creates new pages for us and releases them.
Pros
Quick setup of good looking pages
Easy editing process
Heat maps are helpful to see where people click
Good for A/B testing
Cons
Outages are a little concerning

Great for any marketing team that is held back by dev cycles.
Instapage makes building landing pages one of the easiest processes ever. I can hardly believe how easy they have made it for agencies. Normally the CMS's we use are already pretty easy to use, but with how easy Instapages has made it for us to make pages on the fly for different advertising campaigns, we can't help but use it!
Pros
Easy to use landing pages.
Good a/b testing.
Already pre-built templates.
Cons
Not robust enough to be your whole website.
Somewhat expensive. We'd love it to be cheaper, or have a free option for smaller clients of ours.
Could have a whole followup mechanism for people who convert on these pages.

If someone has an ad campaign where they want to do some quick testing, without developing a whole site, Instapage is the place to do that. Especially if you don't want to go through the cost of hiring a developer, etc... Anyone can use this as long as they have good images and content.
We use Instapage to build landing pages for our subdomains. We have used it for multiple business units and it requires very little technical knowledge to pick up and use. As long as you know how to set up subdomains, you are good to go. It is an easy drag and drop interface. One of the best I have experienced.
Pros
One of the best drag and drop interfaces I have experienced with a page builder
Easy to set up
Limited learning curve and technical knowledge requirements

Instapage is very well suited for building out landing pages. It is less suitable for full websites that work with each other with multiple separated, yet interworking pages and data collection tools. Additionally, having separated forms on one single page is difficult to do, as such, you are recommended to only have one, which could impair collection of information. As such, it is useful in the building of landing pages.
We used Instapage primarily for advertising campaigns. I was the sole user of the tool as I currently oversee all of our marketing. It allowed us to quickly deploy branded landing pages with highly tailored messages to match our ad campaigns. We target disparate audiences and want to ensure that our value is communicated clearly and specifically for those audiences. We use these landing pages an entry point of exposure to our target audience.
Pros
Instapage makes it easy to frame out a landing page really quickly. They provide template blocks for various components of a landing page (header, features, testimonials, etc.) that you can easily modify for your own needs. Other tools provide whole-page templates, but I much prefer the section-level templating. It's more convenient to assemble a page this way and add the details on top of that versus taking a finished template and peeling away design and functional elements to get what I want.
Instapage's mobile auto-resizer works better than other platforms I've used. I found that I had many fewer adjustments on their auto-resizing of the full page than I've experienced with other tools. I still had to work with text size a bit, but they generally did a better job of ordering elements for mobile the way I would want and maintain proportionality of page elements better.
Instapage has a lot of integrations that marketers will love. I don't know if they particularly stand out in this respect, but this is a particularly important aspect of their tool that most marketers will care about.
Cons
Instapage is a bit rigid when it comes to text. You get to choose one font for headers, one for your body copy and you are restricted to those styles throughout your page.
Layout and positioning controls are very precise. You will see pixel distances as you're dragging elements around the screen (though they often didn't measure from the other elements I would have preferred to see), but there's no fine-grain control of pixel positioning of elements. This ultimately was a deal-breaker for me. I didn't want to eye-ball everything I was putting on a page.
You only get two choices of page width, 960px and full-width. If you want a fixed width larger than 960? Tough cookies. This was another deal-breaker for me, ultimately. I had to have more flexibility.
Likelihood to Recommend
If you aren't too picky about having precise control over your page designs, Instapage is a great tool that will make it easy to build and publish pages quickly. It's easy to set up and intuitive to use. It seems like that audience (prioritizes speed over precision) is their target -- for control freaks like me, it comes up a little short. The pricing is pretty good for what you get -- a super-fast path to getting campaigns out quickly so that you can test and iterate your way to profitability.
It plays really well with most other tools designed for the small, scrappy startup marketing team, too.
