Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Kintone has helped us make a connection with our employees and clients and to come up with app tools. It has helped us share information seamlessly within the firm. Now I don't have to search for important emails and information. Kintone helps me see all important information in one place. It is easy to set up and is extremely affordable. It offers a lot of flexibility too.

Pros

The interface is user-friendly. It makes it easy to edit and and modify things seamlessly.
It helps in streamling data and see everything in one place.
The team members and staff are very freindly and helpful.

Cons

There are some features missing like fomatting a phone number.
One feature that I would like to see is the ability to sort applications by order of preference.
Sometimes it acts a little slow and buggy

Kintone is great if you want a software that will help you in managing your data, and keep track of which tasks are assigned to whom. It also helps to streamline communication and information in one central place. However, it is not for you if you are looking for something complex that has to manage a lot of data.

We use Kintone to help manage our inventory. We use it to track incoming material, material that has been sold but is not yet shipped out and material that has been sent out. We also use it to create invoices for our clients. It really helps us quickly and accurately look at our data to see what material is needed.

Pros

It’s very accurate at its calculations and provides a worry free experience. I know as long as I enter the correct data it will give me accurate out puts.
The customer service is top notch. It allows you to customize things just how your company needs.

Cons

There is so much you can do with kintone which makes it hard at times to customize. It can get confusing for some of the employees to navigate because it can do complex things. This is solved at times with the help of the customer service rep.
Kintone focus on the quality of the products functionality and not necessarily how pleasing it is to the eye.

Likelihood to Recommend

Kintone is reliable and easy to use once it is set up. It takes time to get set up as needed so it wouldn’t be ideal to solve a short term issue. It’s more of a long term solution.

Our company did not have a traditional CRM system. We were using Excel spreadsheets to manually manage our quotation system and client database. Kintone has more than exceeded our requirements and expectations. The open-ended design means that we are not limited to a preset suite of applications. We can design and implement our own applications within the Kintone framework. Kintone is not a pre-designed CRM. It is an application builder for a company to design its own CRM based on individual needs.

We needed a CRM platform to store and analyze your data. We invest in MCA investments with various syndications and were using excel to track it all. We needed something to conglomerate and analyze our data.

Pros

Easy to Learn
Straightforward
Plenty of Tools to Achieve Solution

Cons

KrewDashboard doesn't always export well
Built in graphing and table functions are lackluster
Plug-ins are almost always needed and a good knowledge of them and their functionality is required for certain implementations/solutions

Likelihood to Recommend

I think that it's great for anyone trying to develop a CRM platform or a process management platform very quickly or by themselves. It is quite affordable and easy to use, so for some fairly basic applications it is a great tool/place to start. For very advanced applications where there is a lot of data, I think that it would be not as well suited.

Our organization uses Kintone as a database platform for three main vital pieces of information.

Pros

Ability to personalize without knowledge of coding.
The potential and possible capabilities of the platform.
The vast amount of applications available to use.

Cons

Certain calculations cannot be made.
The changing of previous records when changing forms in applications.
Inability to implement a barcode system within Kintone.
The linking of information is very difficult and not user friendly.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is well suited in personalization options and ease of doing so, however, changing one thing within a form can cause major issues.

An easy straightforward way to drag and drop fields where you need them which allowed for a great-looking presentation. Using Kintone for sorting information was great.

Pros

Easy to Use.

Cons

Cannot attach images to templates.
Limits on how many fields can be added.
Pricing too high.

Likelihood to Recommend

Great for data mining and presentation, however, it is not great if you have to add large amounts of data. Limitations are also the export types.

We use Kintone to track multiple levels of data. We are a small non-profit that provides services to the unhoused and mentally ill in our community. We needed to track client data for grant writing and community partner purposes. Kintone fits that need beautifully.

Pros

Data Tracking.
Exporting Data to spreadsheet.
Ease of use.
Allows for many uses to view data.

Cons

Allowing the "apps" to be reordered so the most frequently used apps by a user are on top rather than the order they were built.
A more clear "users" manual rather than online training and support classes.

Likelihood to Recommend

We have found Kintone to be user-friendly and allows novice individuals to have a comprehensive database. With limited tech support in our organization, we needed a product that would allow us to develop and modify our data collection easily, Kintone does that for us. I really can't think of a place that Kintone wouldn't be well suited. They have great customer support and their non-profit price point is excellent.

What are the business problems the product addresses > We used Kintone for simple internal requests to solve email efficiency, the difficulty of managing request status, and complications including separate attachments. What is the scope of your use case? > Reimbursemtn request, purchase request, some of the IT-related requests like user addition/modification, permission request, system access request.

Pros

Easy form creation.
Many templates(form).
Javascript embedding.
Many samples and solutions including other systems' API access.

Cons

If the business logic gets complex, only javascript coding works. It might get a headache in the future.
Due to product limitation, small work around is required many times.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you would like to replace an internal process using an Excel master file or internal request, Kintone should be fit. It's easy to create forms and you can start using the simple system very quickly. In addition, the cost is very attractive compared to other tools. But if the business logic or workflow and conditions of the process get too complicated, you need much coding. Just using javascript simply is totally OK but I feel complicated business logic does not fit with Kintone.

Other than our email through Outlook. Kintone is the primary online software that our office uses to manage the office. This includes a document library, a CRM-like system for constituent casework, a project management tracker, and communication software. The document library is simply a holder of our documents. The constituent casework portion tracks staff actions taken in assisting constituents with the issues they ask about. The project management tracker is for when we file bills and keep track of the changes made and wherein the process of a bill is. Lastly, we will use the messaging feature for communications that are not time-sensitive.

Pros

Document library.
Being able to @ someone and link them to a specific item.
Segment work into different "apps".
Announcements page.

Cons

The settings menus are complicated.
The settings menus and the system admin pages are separated.
The UI is often a bit clumsy.
The notifications/reminders are difficult to setup and calibrate.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is an excellent document library. The communication features, being able to use the @ and bring the target to a specific item is most helpful when working on a collaborative project that might use proprietary or unique file types that must be downloaded and cannot be edited in a browser. The CRM functionality at least how it was set up for our organization needs more work.
