When learning a new position, it is helpful to have all the documents needed; however, they’re not organized and can be released in huge lists, making learning confusing. Also, sometimes the wrong roles get assigned, and then we have a bunch that we aren’t supposed to have. But overall, it is easy to use.
I use MasterControl Quality Excellence as part of a group of approvers. This platform serves as a library for all approved documents across multiple business departments. As part of the marketing team, I am responsible for signing off on all documents, whether they be processes, collateral, etc. I will get notifications on a weekly basis for items that I have previously collaborated on or others that have had recent changes for various reasons.

If it's been a while since I have created a collaboration, it takes some time to familiarize myself with all the correct steps involved.

In-process collaboration is not always efficient. Sometimes it is quicker to approve via other means first, prior to final sign-off in MasterControl Quality Excellence.

As mentioned previously, I think MasterControl Quality Excellence is great at housing all finalized documentation as a library for reference. It is nice knowing there is a central location to find all the latest approved documents within the organization. It saves time from having to track down individuals who would have them stored locally. It is not always the easiest to collaborate live within MasterControl Quality Excellence and can occasionally slow down the approval process.
We use MasterControl Quality Excellence as a quality system to upload files such as methodologies, protocols, change control documents, and evaluations. However, it has many problems with the submission of misformatted documents; the final file is different from what was submitted. The documentation package workflow is lost when a document is rejected; it lacks a well-defined and organized flow. It's not intuitive. Finding documentation is difficult, even using keywords.

We use MasterControl Quality Excellence to capture quality events that occur and oversee the process from opening to closing. The business problems it solves is to have full traceability and audit trail when opening and closing these events. We also want to have all the process enclosed in one eQMS and have the different events be interlinked.

I would recommend using MasterControl Quality Excellence to capture quality events fully. A full audit trail will be present afterwards. It might not be suitable if you want to customize it too greatly from what solutions are offed by MasterControl
MasterControl Quality Excellence is being used for documents review approval and upon approval sending training for end users. This helps us keeping documents within controlled environment and it is easier to revise documents within the system. Advanced Quality event management tool helps us with change controls, quality events reporting and investigation, CAPA, product complaints, etc

MasterControl Quality Excellence is well suited for documents, training, process, Advanced Quality Event Management (AQEM - this includes various forms such as change controls, CAPA, quality events recording and investigation, product complaint, etc.) supplier, risk and audit modules. It has all the tools required for an organization looking to implement a quality management system.
From document and learning management, to CAPA and change management, our company has been able to utilize MasterControl Quality Excellence to fulfill our quality compliance and buisness needs.

Our organization uses the complete MasterControl Quality Excellence suite of products. Our entire QMS as well as event management and audit are all within MasterControl. It addresses our needs to consolidate our processes into a singular location for ease of use and accountability. Our organization also uses the document and training modules most frequently and conduct all SOP training through these modules.

FBS forms are effective and serves our business needs for the past five years.
Analytics and JReports have been extremely useful in getting all the information we need to perform tracking and trending through reports. Especially appreciate being able to export to excel

One of the improvement areas is the Audit
module which can be very cumbersome and must be processed through each step whether there are findings or not.
In addition to the cumbersome steps, the observation details sometimes does not retain details of the observation after the report approval step.
The FBS products or enhanced forms are not very flexible or easily changed for business use. They are hard coded

The MasterControl Quality Excellence suite is well suited for the life sciences and biotechnology as well as manufacturing companies that could benefit from the regulatory compliance that this suite of products offer. This product is highly recommended for industries that want to reduce paper overhead and digitally transform their QMS into a singular location.
I’ve been a MasterControl Quality Excellence user for over 15 years. They are great as they continue to improve and add new features. I cannot wait for new updates to training and documents. Their team is great at answering questions and assisting at resolving issues (even with 3rd-party vendors).

MasterControl Quality Excellence has the foundation to be well suited in the future when attempting to aggregate all components of the QMS under one roof. Right now I do see that some of the modules are disjointed between the standard platform and adapt platform. Duplicities are noted in user management in portal and AQEM.
