Great Tool that gets staff talking.

We use Mimecast Engage Awareness Training to uplift the awareness of the dangers that bad actors pose, and to engage the critical thinking skills of our employees. All staff in our organization must complete regular modules which we report on to the leaders of our business.
Having all staff constantly engaged in thinking about threats, strengthens our security posture.

  • User administration

Return on Investment

  • We can compare which departments are more engaged.

Mimecast Engage is Simple

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We previously used KnowBe4 for Security Awareness Training and would like to be able to add our custom training module to the "Company wide training". At the moment I know that is not possible to add to the "Company wide training" this is only possible with "Targeted Training". The issue with "Targeted Training" is that it will not report the results under "Reports & Insights". I would like to see better reporting for "Targeted Training" and the ability to add custom modules to "Company Wide Training". Phishing Training Templates need to be more robust with the capability to spoof trusted domains. Mimecast should also provide more Phishing Training Templates to customize.

Pros

  • Easy to schedule Targeted Training
  • Easy to select Training modules for Company Wide Training
  • Easy to create and schedule Phishing Training Campaigns

Cons

  • I would like to see better reporting for "Targeted Training"
  • Phishing Training Templates need to be more robust with the capability to spoof trusted domains.
  • Mimecast should also provide more Phishing Training Templates to customize.
  • To add custom modules to "Company Wide Training"

Return on Investment

  • Saving us money by switch from KnowBe4
  • We have identified individuals who high risk to the company
  • Provided Phishing simulation campaigns to train users on email threats

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We were transitioning between user cybersecurity awareness and training platforms and we were using Mimecast for our email gateway already so we decided to go with Mimecast Engage for our user training. The business problem is that user are not aware of everyday cybersecurity risks and actions they can take could impact the business negatively. The scope is for every employee with IT and email accounts.

Pros

  • The user interface is nice and easy to navigate
  • The training does not take a long time and is concise
  • Mimecast Engage is well incorporated into the Mimecast ecosystem

Cons

  • Viewing individual completion statistics for each company training video
  • Being able to remove users in the complete list

Return on Investment

  • Measurement of user security training and engagement
  • Improved phishing attack simulations
  • Better security reporting and analysis

Mimecast Security Awareness Training is a high value solution

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Security awareness training is used to keep the business aware of common threats as well as new vectors of attack that emerge over time. It provides real world examples and highlight high profile targets areas bad actors may try to take advantage of. It gives the audience an understanding of why the targets are chosen and what we can all do to employ better security practices.

Pros

  • Highlights current security concerns
  • Explains why they're areas of concern
  • What people can do to mitigate the risks
  • Short and entertaining to boost engagement

Cons

  • Increased frequency of content updates
  • Backend support has been lacking
  • Great platform honestly, and I don't have a lot of criticism

Return on Investment

  • Good engagement with user base and information security
  • Higher volume of reported concerns and suspicious activity
  • Provides a measure of people who participate in the program
