Doesn't respond, cards and all users are deactivated but we continuously have a balance.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

At first, Navan (TripActions) was amazing. Managing company expenses internally became easier and faster. However, we felt like it had too much for us. We tried to leave Navan, turned off all our employees physical cards and deleted every user account except for our accountants and C-suites. After we requested to close out our account, we never heard back despite reaching out 4 times. Then we started seeing charges to our employees' cards that we had deactivated. Does it make sense that deactivated cards are being used to make thousands of dollars worth of transactions? When we addressed this issue, Navan said our account manager will be in touch (who was supposed to be in touch when we requested to close our account). It's been 6 months since we first requested the close and we still haven't heard from anyone; our cards that are "deactivated" are still seeing transactions even after we removed the cards from every vendor. Please use another provider such as Brex for your company.

Cons

  • Lack of communication
  • Backend error of cards and users

Likelihood to Recommend

If you're an admin at a company and not expecting to stay with Navan for years, don't use it.

My main issue with TripActions is they act as a travel agent and they are useless if the is an issue with a third party, they simply give the run around telling you to get with that third party for example, Priceline to resolve. Priceline will tell you to get with TripActions and they will say get with the hotel for example, when you do they will tell you to get with TripActions. Next issue they bill $25 for what they consider alternative trip, in other words if you don’t merge trips then is additional $25. This is ridiculous in my opinion but to make matters worse there is not alert, they said it is on the invoice but any invoice I have gotten is for the current month says you can’t download, but the invoices without the $25 fee I can download. End of the day I just won’t personally use it.

Cons

  • The bad outweigh the good for me.
  • It is easier to book direct through source and bypass TripActions altogether.
  • Difficult to resolve issues if you have an issue.

Likelihood to Recommend

Great if you never have an issue. They mainly want to communicate via chat while they will put you on long holds if you don’t sit and watch will sign out and won’t wait on you.

TripActions is being used all across our company. Used by all departments!

It streamlines a lot of things related to business travel and makes all the information and action needed in one place.

You can use workflows to determine what needs to be approved by someone manually and what can be automated.

Pros

  • One UI for everything
  • Great app
  • Can easily book flights and rooms
  • Can submit expenses smoothly

Cons

  • It is not connected with all airlines and hotels so if you have something specific in mind, it may not be an option to select.

Action-packed TripActions Review

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

TripActions is used to research and purchase flights and hotel rooms for our business (and sometimes personal) travel. The platform is used primarily by the company's domestic, international, and government sales departments, as well as company management. The business problems TripActions addresses are the need to canvas multiple travel and hotel sites, as well as needing a dedicated travel coordinator to manage all travel needs for company employees.

Pros

  • Competitive hotel rates
  • Competitive airline rates
  • Consideration of personal travel

Cons

  • Merging personal and business travel under a single "trip"
  • Service fee for personal travel seems ill advised when the platform benefits from business travel
  • There was at least one occasion when quoted rate could not be booked as it was no longer available.

Likelihood to Recommend

A specific scenario where TripActions was well suited was when I needed to book a hotel stay in Cologne, Germany for multiple colleagues. The fact that they were registered users made coordinating their stays a seamless process. I have not had an occasion where TripActions was inappropriate to use.

TripActions is awesome

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

TripActions is being used by our whole company for any travel needs. It's mostly utilized by flying sales reps. It addresses the problems of having to use multiple sites and services to book a flight, rent a car, or book a hotel. It's simple, clean, easy to use, and connects with your personal rewards programs for each transportation or hotel company.

Pros

  • Simple interface
  • Great, interactive customer service
  • Links to rewards programs

Cons

  • Sometimes navigating the trips page can be clunky

Likelihood to Recommend

TripActions is great for having to book logistics for travel. Flights, rental cars, hotels, etc. If you are driving somewhere and do not need a hotel, there is no reason to use TripActions.

Excellent travel management tool

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our entire company uses TripActions. It is our go-to tool for travel booking. Having offices in multiple timezones and constant traveling between those offices is necessary for a lot of employees. All hotel, flight, and car rental bookings are done seamlessly through the TripActions platform. It also allows employees to book personal trips.

Pros

  • 24x7 trip support
  • Allows quick changes to the itinerary

Cons

  • Android app is slightly buggy and takes time to load
  • No capability to save an itinerary for quick access at a later time

Likelihood to Recommend

Well Suited -

- A great tool to book flights instantly, same rates if not better than airline websites

- It provides the option to add all loyalty programs and apply them automatically on checkout. Can filter results based on loyalty programs too.

- Filters results for being within or outside company policy

- Gives the option to earn amazon rewards if booking a cheaper than average priced hotel or renting a less expensive than average priced car

Less Appropriate

- Not suited for personal trips, since adds trip fees regardless

TripActions is great!

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

TripActions is currently used throughout my entire organization for any travel needs. It is extremely convenient and allows the complete management of employee travel while allowing them autonomy to make their own travel decisions and business needs demand. It makes filing expense reports very easy as well and minimizes the time spent filing them. There is even a feature that entices employees to book lower-priced hotels by rewarding them with a percentage of their savings under the allocated per diem.

Pros

  • Fast and easy to send expenses to Expensify.
  • Allows me to see when and where my coworkers have booked.

Cons

  • They have really improved their customer service response.
  • They have already improved their integrations.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think it is well suited for any business with remote employees who travel for work.

My favorite app to use for business and personal travel!

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use TripActions to book flights and hotels company wide. It is great because, as someone who uses it often, I can see what I booked in the past, see what my coworkers have booked and share bookings with coworkers if needed. It helps in knowing when and where we need to be!

Pros

  • The customer service team is second to none! They are constantly helping me change flights or communicating with a hotel for me. They go above and beyond.
  • Another point just to brag on their CST department - I had a personal flight booked 2 years ago for my husband and I. I filled out some information wrong. Fast forward to us checking in and there were issues. The airline was going to charge us for an additional ticket for over $800! The CST member for TA called the airline company, did some sweet talking and figured it out for me. I was so happy I almost cried!

Cons

  • I can't think of anything wrong with this app!

Likelihood to Recommend

TripActions is the way to go for booking hotels and flights! If you are looking for something luxurious for a personal getaway, I would use something else. But for anything business-related, there's nothing better. It is also well suited for sharing itinerary and bookings with coworkers.

TripActions: the best way to book travel!

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

TripActions is used across our entire organization. In the past, we had a travel agency that helped book and manages travel for our company. Still, since moving to TripActions, it's empowered employees to handle and manage their own business travel with an easy-to-use platform. However, it also gives our admins the option to book trips for senior leadership.

Pros

  • Straightforward, user-friendly interface
  • Compiles all airline options for best selection

Cons

  • Make invoice/expense options more streamlined.
  • Improve the ability to book the same trip as colleagues.

Likelihood to Recommend

TripActions is great for most things! Last minute work trips or planning things out in advance. Might be less appropriate for large grounds of employees taking the same trip. The ability to book hotel, airfare, rental car etc. is really vital.
