We are first time users with OneCause. We wanted to utilize the online bidding to make the bidding and checkout more efficient.

Pros

  • It was a beast to set up
  • Some people paid cash and we had to go back and add in

We use OneCause for our annual gala. We needed a hub that manages our guest lists, silent auction, and seating. We began using OneCause last year and decided we liked the product so much that we chose to use it again this year. During the "plea" portion of our event, we used OneCause to enter in live donations.

We had a great event and are still able to generate reports post-event. Melissa, our event specialist was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She was a great trainer and had our employees ready for a 350 guest event.

This platform allows us to assign seating and place guests at specific tables, send digital tickets, and efficiently check in attendees during the event. It also helps us manage and track our silent auction items, providing guests the ability to browse and place bids directly through the system. Overall, OneCause streamlines our event planning and enhances the guest experience.

We use OneCause in our organization as an event platform. Registrations, payments, sponsorships, donations and auction items are all functions that we are using. We have 3 events, including one golf outing, that we use the platform for. As we continue to use OneCause, we will continue to expand on the tools as needed.

  • Design on the story can be a challenge

Likelihood to Recommend

OneCause is an easy tool when registering people for a large event. The landing page (story) is great to link to from our website and social media pages. Golf tournaments are easy to organize, but I need more training to speak to how well it works. I would not recommend this tool for walks.

We utilize OneCause to aid in our large events throughout the Fundraising year. This includes online raffles, our annual Cowboy Joe Club Auction, Annual Cowboy Joe Club Golf Series and more. OneCause addresses the need for a user friendly fundraising software that is purpose built for events. The functionality is truly second to none. We love the fact that we can text our attendees and communicate per event directly through the software.

I would recommend OneCause due to its easy to use interface, customization of fundraising events, user friendliness from an attendee perspective, AI generated auction descriptions, and procurement tools. I would also recommend the software to utilize on the golf course for golf tournaments, registration, fixed price sales, and quick checkout for attendees.

The Arizona Chapter of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation uses OneCause to manage our golf and gala events. The software allows us to successfully manage our guest information, live auction & silent auction. It also allows us to assign tables & foursomes for our events. The messaging systems keep us in constant communication with our attendees and sponsors.

OneCause has been a wonderful tool to add to our organization's fundraising processes. We have multiple branches in our region and it has streamlined and made our events more successful and more professional across the board. We love the intuitive nature of the software, which makes for ease of use, and we love, love, love the reporting features.

  • Adding event supporters seems cumbersome or sometimes repetitive
  • More training opportunities upon signing on
  • It seems that multiple records are created easily and often. How can we eliminate that?

OneCause is an expensive venture for the small non-profit and may seem like too much of an investment. I would say it is the best investment ever, because it eliminates so many tasks, especially after year one. I think OneCause is a must-have for today's events and I would not do a major event without it.

We use OneCause as our event platform for all of our major events. It's wonderful to have an event platform that can process tickets, silent auction, paddle raise and other event specific fundraising games.

Pros

  • The support team is exceptional. They are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
  • The online silent auction is easy to use and love the AI feature to help with descriptions.
  • Ticketing system is efficient and allows different levels of tickets.
  • Capture sponsor levels and benefits.

Cons

  • Sometimes it's hard to submit pictures that are the right size.
  • When trying to print a report, I would like it to look more like an Excel report that is easier to read.
  • Do more webinars around unique fundraising ideas.

OneCause is well suited for in person and virtual fundraising events. We also use it for Peer to Peer fundraising. It is straightforward to set up and check in is a breeze with over 1,000 attendees! We use event services to ensure things run smoothly the day of our event. We don't use it for our website or recurring donations because our CRM is easier to integrate with our website.
