In a smaller organization license costs for 3D software design can be extremely costly and optimizing the usage is key. In our scenario the cost of Parallels Remote Application Server (Parallels RAS) themselves and license costs didin't reduce costs at all as the cost of Parallels Remote Application Server (Parallels RAS) itself took all the savings we were making, but in saying that the following were the pros of that move.

I suspect many people don't use VDI, and the yearly subscription price might scare them off. … We find the product fills the gap rather nicely between just using the Microsoft RDS capabilities and going for a much more expensive solution like Citrix.

Both are good products but they cannot compare with the ease and cost savings delivered by Parallels RAS:
Citrix is an excellent product but very expensive. … This again is a cost-saving but also really enhances the user experience by removing frustration.

License pricing (and support and maintenance) for SMB could be more adapted to the features actually being used. … Since the first implementation, the prices were drastically raised as have the support and maintenance prices which negatively influenced the yearly costs per user.
