Consolidation of the tools - ATS, payroll, benefits, performance reviews, surveys, time keeping, accruals, onboarding, leave tracking, and such. By having this I can manage the group as a department of one. Automation of tasks also helps to save me time and not let things fall through the cracks. There are a few areas that would be very helpful to adjust to work better for our company, but not the end of the world.
Pros
Applicant Tracking System
Benefit Portal
Payroll
Cons
Performance - the overview list of reviews is nice, but no dates are shown unless you go into each individual review. To download the PDF of a review also takes about 6 steps, putsy.
Difficult to give supervisors certain levels of access for their direct reports that the manager needs them to handle.
Accruals - system will allow the employee to go into a negative balance for their time off and does not flag me of the issue until after the timecards are locked so I am unable to correct the issue.
We use Paycor for all its features. This includes payroll, recruiting, benefits, training and development. One feature that Paycor offered that we didn't have (and needed) was a robust LMS and Leadership training.
Pros
Offering a robust LMS
User training
Benefit platform
Cons
the App lacks full usability
Reporting is very limited
Analytics does not provide accurate data
The system is not real-time; we often have to wait hours or overnight
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycor is not perfect, but for the price it is a better solution than any system I've used in 20 years.
I am our Paycor Administrator. I use all aspects of Paycor. Our biggest use of Paycor is for tracking time and processing payroll.
Pros
Has a large parameter for programming
Allows for industry specific caveats
Can accept and process data for a large amount of staff
Cons
Listening to their clients thoroughly
Too many changes/updates/sunsetting reports
Since merging with Paychex, Paycor has begun to over-price their products
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycor is easy to operate and I like that I can change the programming on my own whether it's with timekeeping calculations or Benefits Open Enrollment. However, their premium support is becoming less useful.
We use Paycor for payroll, taxes, HR related issues and time keeping.
Pros
Payroll
Time-Keeping
Benefits
Customer service
PTO
Cons
The online chat feature having to send you an email to follow up days later- sometimes I need mt problem solved the same day.
Stop changing how reporting is built. We like the legacy way better.

Paycor is very user friendly and easy to learn, even for people who aren't familiar with a system like Paycor. It is very easy to learn to submit Payroll or to get help. Paycor also has great training. Paycor falls short with their time-keeping clocks. If something is wrong with the clock unfortunately, Paycor does not have techs that can help.
One system all at one place payroll, tax filing, hiring, onboarding, and time tracking.Minimizes manual labor and redundant data entry. Easy to use. Automatic tax calcuation and filing. User friendly. Good for onboarding and workflow. It's good only for us based companies. For mid and small businesses its expensive.
Pros
All in one HR platform
Good mobile App
Easy to use.
Good payrole features
Cons
Pricing to be transparent
Customer support
Impementation

The customer service is non-existent. We have the full suite, and pay additional for premium support, and we still teach them how to use the system. All the materials for process are outdated, as well. Reporting doesn’t speak across modules, and the “new” report writer doesn’t work. This has all gotten worse since the Paychex acquisition.
Pros
Payroll runs okay
Cons
Frankenstein modules
Updating process guides
CUSTOMER SUPPORT

I would rather go back to calculating payroll manual than be subjected to this system.
This was our HRIS and payroll system. It addressed the need to pay employees on time and file timely tax returns with the state and federal government.
Pros
Mobile app
Payroll was simplified
Could call and ask for help
Cons
Fraud alerts led to employees being paid late
Reporting section was a NIGHTMARE
Did not file taxes correctly.

They might be better suited to a smaller organization. I felt like we were too big for them to care a lot.
We use Paycor for payroll, employee documents, recruiting, benefits, and time and attendance. We use Paycor every day to address our compliance and record keeping needs and also our taxes and payroll documentation requirements. Their update emails are also extremely beneficial for staying up to date on items.
Pros
Reporting
Recruiting
Payroll Compliance
Cons
Performance Reviews
Employee View
Engage section/Community for employees

In my opinion, Paycor is well suited for smaller companies looking for a simplistic solution for employees and admins. Larger companies may benefit from this system if they do not have a lot of high-end needs or demands
Paycor is our main HRMS system. We have a fairly good experience with the product and look forward to expanding our usage. I like the reporting features and the ease of payroll. I don’t like calling for help and being referred to a document. I think they can be more hands on. I’ve referred at least two other companies to Paycor so I think highly of the product but the “bedside manner” could be greatly improved.
Pros
Payroll
Reporting
Cons
Responsiveness
Comp time

We use Paycor to process our payroll and maintain employee records on file. While the system is great for payroll processing we also utilize it for record keeping, W2, annual reviews and other personal file items. Paycor is a great product that is easy to use for payroll. I would recommend it
Pros
process payroll
reimbusements

Cons
expense management
onboarding employees
seperation from employment

Payroll for a small to mid size company that is going through growth or already had growth. It's a simple system to learn and set up. The integrations into other systems is great. The product itself is great to use as well as be trained on. I would recommend this product
