The customer service is non-existent. We have the full suite, and pay additional for premium support, and we still teach them how to use the system. All the materials for process are outdated, as well. Reporting doesn’t speak across modules, and the “new” report writer doesn’t work. This has all gotten worse since the Paychex acquisition.
Pros
Payroll runs okay
Cons
Frankenstein modules
Updating process guides

I would rather go back to calculating payroll manual than be subjected to this system.
This was our HRIS and payroll system. It addressed the need to pay employees on time and file timely tax returns with the state and federal government.
Pros
Mobile app
Payroll was simplified
Could call and ask for help
Cons
Fraud alerts led to employees being paid late
Reporting section was a NIGHTMARE
Did not file taxes correctly.

They might be better suited to a smaller organization. I felt like we were too big for them to care a lot.
We use Paycor for payroll, employee documents, recruiting, benefits, and time and attendance. We use Paycor every day to address our compliance and record keeping needs and also our taxes and payroll documentation requirements. Their update emails are also extremely beneficial for staying up to date on items.
Pros
Reporting
Recruiting
Payroll Compliance
Cons
Performance Reviews
Employee View
Engage section/Community for employees

In my opinion, Paycor is well suited for smaller companies looking for a simplistic solution for employees and admins. Larger companies may benefit from this system if they do not have a lot of high-end needs or demands
Paycor is our main HRMS system. We have a fairly good experience with the product and look forward to expanding our usage. I like the reporting features and the ease of payroll. I don’t like calling for help and being referred to a document. I think they can be more hands on. I’ve referred at least two other companies to Paycor so I think highly of the product but the “bedside manner” could be greatly improved.
Pros
Payroll
Reporting
Cons
Responsiveness
Comp time

We use Paycor to process our payroll and maintain employee records on file. While the system is great for payroll processing we also utilize it for record keeping, W2, annual reviews and other personal file items. Paycor is a great product that is easy to use for payroll. I would recommend it

Cons

Payroll for a small to mid size company that is going through growth or already had growth. It's a simple system to learn and set up. The integrations into other systems is great. The product itself is great to use as well as be trained on. I would recommend this product

We use it in almost every aspect of HR. From ATS to LMS to Payroll to Performance Management. I really like how everything is centralized here and it has helped us move away from using poorly designed documents and paper forms. It is relatively easy for employees to also log in and get access to their accounts. There isn't 100 versions of it like ADP where someone is logging into the wrong software.
Pros
Payroll
Applicant Tracking System
Performance Management
Cons
Customer Service
Benefits Advisor
Better updates

I think Paycor's ATS is great. Pretty simple to use and usually works well for the most part.
I think the CS needs to improve greatly. It has been super stressful trying to reach anyone and they are not able to help enough or with the right knowledge. We are figuring it out with them rather than them already having the answers.
We currently utilize Paycor as our full HCM. We process payroll, recruiting and onboarding and integrate with Benefits Advisor. The entire life cycle of an employee happens in the system. Our managers are becoming more and more accustomed with the different self help features on the software and how to better manage their direct reports.
Pros
System integration - we are integrated with Paycor Recruiting formerly Newton and B-Swift
Making the face of Paycor more user friendly
Workflow customization
Cons
Impersonation
Customizing Reporting
Post dating

Getting the job done with transitioning candidates from Paycor Recruiter and onboarding them. Being able to have dynamic documents and everything needed for an employee's start right at the beginning. Also the ease of making changes and ensuring everything has transitioned well and that all of the employees information is correct.

We use Paycor for payroll, timetracking, as well as onboarding and recruiting of candidates. These modules allow us to streamline critical processes at the organization and build a process that will survive transitions in the team. By digitizing the process and layering a simple to use UX, both new and experienced employees can successfully complete the work with moderate levels of training.
Pros
Great user UX
Simple to use from a user perspective once a system is setup
Robust approvals and control systems
Cons
The backend implementation is extremely complex and requires too much trial and error
The implementation team is stretched thin and when onboarding new customers, they fall behind
Their hours of operations need to be longer to cover an earlier start and later start. Also, in my experience, their support representatives are not well trained nor do they understand the product well.
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycor is well suited for an organization with a strong implementation team or who has the budget to hire a consultant to implement Paycor. Once the system is implemented, Paycor is great.
If you are a smaller organization, we suggest starting with just 1-2 modules and working your way up from there as setting up everything takes time and resources.
We use Paycor for all HR needs including payroll, benefits administration, and time and attendance. We use it daily for reporting purposes and onboarding staff.
Pros
Open enrollment-their software is user friendly and has good features for end users and administrators
Onboarding-entering new hires is easy
Mass Template Upload-you can easily upload mass changes, the system is easy to use.
Reporting-their reporting tool is improving and AI is incorporated into it.
Cons
Time & Attendance reporting-this can be improved by integrating the functionalities
Reporting-customs fields needs to be integrated since you can't run reports with these fields included
Manager access-having a better grasp as to what managers can view
Likelihood to Recommend
The Open enrollment tool is excellent. They need to improve the reporting tool and speed up the use of AI. I've seen other system demos and their integration of AI seems sophisticated in comparision to Paycor's. Paycor has integrated some AI into analytics but it lacking in terms of what it can do.
