Payoneer Chaos

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Payoneer to get paid by my customers. I am supposed to paid an up front fee for producing content and then royalties on a regular basis following that. But in my experience so far, Payoneer has transferred 0 dollars. The service is supposed to provide a trusted way to transfer funds directly to a payee's bank account.

Cons

  • I believe their software is riddled with bugs.
  • They keep sending me requests for documents but in my experience, their system does not accept them.
  • I believe their support staff is incompetent and cannot fix the problem. They will assign someone to address your technical problems who can't solve them.
  • I have yet to be paid, even once.
  • I feel that they take many weeks to solve your problem.
  • I have found that they will notify you of required documents you have already submitted.

Likelihood to Recommend

In my experience, Payoneer is not able to process payments and weeks went by before I was notified that there was a delay. Then they starting sending notices that a tax form was required and I feel this should have part of the enrollment process. In my experience, I was expected to use a link in the emails, but the link was broken. Also, other links in their software will incorrectly bring you back to the sign in page, blocking necessary actions. I believed they claimed that they received the required forms, then claimed that they didn't.

In my experience, somebody got unauthorized access to my account. I believe my worst mistake was to report that it was hacked. I believe it didn't help me and it made my situation worse. Payoneers support (many different persons contacted me) worked diligently and went through a lot of trouble to put up roadblocks for me in my opinion. In my experience, a Payoneer supporter went as far as to research the validation of Israeli ID cards. In my opinion, their research isn't up to date. The Israeli government extended the validation period In my experience, Payoneer got the address to the Israeli government site, the page about renew your id 2022 with proof. In my experience, this is what has happened and what I've done so far: Somebody got unauthorized access to my account and instantly moved $480 to his own Payoneer account with the email address: (removed but sent several times to Payoneer) without my permission. I received Payoneer's email about the illegal transaction with a link to use immediately if I hadn't authorized it. I clicked the link which led me to Payoneer's maze page with several types of support. It took me around 10 minutes to find the right place.. and I could only find a number in US. I don't live in the US. I can only use my phone in Israel. So I spent another 10 minutes figuring out how to charge Skype so I could call long-distance to the US from Israel. The supporter I talked to would create a ticket. * Got email from a Payoneer supporter. Got told to use another email address and reply to the questions I would receive. They needed a copy of a valid government-issued ID. No reply from Payoneer. I wrote and asked for an update and wrote on LinkedIn, too. Then I was asked one week later to provide a government-issued ID which I'd already done. I had to send another government-issued ID, I was told. I replied that I didn't have any other. I don't have a car and I don't travel. Thus my driver's license is old and in my maiden name. Still valid, though. And I don't have a passport since I have no need for it. In my experience, after several emails from Payoneer asking me for another Government issued ID, which I've already said several times I didn't have, came the email from yet another supporter, around 2:30 am my time. In my opinion, this latest email showed proof of no compassion but lots of energy putting into making things hard for me. In my experience, the supporter claimed falsely that my ID was no longer valid, which is not true. Result: I don't have access to my account. I have lost $480 and also around 4 EUR and around $2.50 USD. Plus a pending payment hasn't been accepted since November 15, and I'm expecting more money coming from Amazon in five days or less. In my opinion do yourself a favor and take out your money from Payoneer.

Pros

  • I believe they are great at charging fees both for paying for products and for receiving money
  • I believe they can accept payments from Amazon KDP and ClickBank
  • In my opinion, hey are excellent in making life tough for honest account holders

Cons

  • In my opinion, Non-existing customer service
  • In my opinion, Slow customer service
  • In my opinion, Support uses canned replies
  • In my opinion, Support either don't understand English or doesn't read it
  • In my opinion, Provides a useless link when you need fast help
  • In my opinion, Could be smoother in accepting money from private persons

Likelihood to Recommend

I believe it was a horrible experience and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. I did in the past. I was an eager affiliate because I liked their service. But in my experience, first they came up with crazy claims when my son (who lived in Ukraine back then) made an account and later they refused my friend's account with the reasoning that "they didn't do business with that kind of persons" (she taught hypnosis and self-help). In my opinion, they make you jump through hoops to "confirm your identity" for an account I've had since 2012. Plus, their security is non-existent in my opinion. I believe I will never trust them with money again. If they reopen my account (notice, I could have it closed without giving my ID), I will immediately withdraw every single payment I receive. In my opinion, I don't trust them one bit.

Warning Warning Warning - DO NOT USE IT - Aweful ServiceTake too much time to approve payments. Proccessing time should be minimal.Edit: After the payment is approved they took 29.5USD in the of annual fee. I dint know about this. I only got $30 for a work I did for a client and they took it all. Ridiculous terms. I dont use it often and I am never going to use it anymore. Please be aware, PayPal is much more better than this.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Awful service. Don't recommend to anybody. We are planning move out to another bank from next month. We made a remittance on 24 of August. Bank requested documents from us to review a transaction on 29th of August. We provided all documents on 30th of August. Now is 14th of September, transaction is still under review. In August support answered that review migh take a week, then 2 weeks. Now support answers, that review process might take up to a month!!! Transaction sum is $8000, Payoneer took $160 for transaction. Our contraсtor put on hold providing services a week ago and now we could loose our client, who can't wait more. Payoneer support said that they can't even charge back sum to us, so they just froze it on their balance. In case if transaction will get to back to our balance - they don't get back the fee to the client as well. It's fantastic! Customer ID: 51882254 Transaction ID: 574760447

Pros

  • Make payment transfers

Cons

  • Payment transfers
  • Time of payment verfication
  • Huge fees

Likelihood to Recommend

Their support answer pretty fast, but they can't help with real problems, we just lost our client thanks to Payoneer!

Terminated our account for no reason. Almost 10 years we used this service

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Payoneer for almost 10 years to pay our contractors in digital marketing field in different countries. This April they asked us to re-verify our account by submitting fresh documents. It was done almost immediately, but then the verification process was stuck in limbo. I contacted support multiple times about the timelines, but every time they "sincerely apologized", but were not able to tell anything specific. All this time we were not able to send payments to our contractors (one of them is located in Georgia, and one in Ukraine), and had to use alternative systems. This week I got a notification that our account is terminated and they declined to disclose the reason. 5 figures amount is stuck in our account. I believe this company doesn't respect loyal customers, their support team is not professional and I strongly urge you to never deal with Payoneer.

Pros

  • Fast payments to different countries
  • Good reporting features

Cons

  • Terminated our account for no reason
  • I believe customer support is terrible

Likelihood to Recommend

It was a convenient payment system to process payment requests from our contractors. But if you need a reliable payment system for business - stay away from Payoneer, as they can block you anytime they want (read other reviews about this issue)

Cancelled My Account For No Reason

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Payoneer to pay a vendor in Armenia. It is the only payment platform we can use.I have used this site for over a year now and 1 day I get an email out of the blue saying my account was closed for violating their terms. I only use it to pay 1 person and so I tried to inquire as to what the problem is. But all they would say is that I violated the terms and the decision was permanent. I tried 3 or 4 times to get an answer and that is all they would say. I did not violate any of their terms and it is draconian to do this to customers. Also, their CSR's are not English speaking and it shows. If you're going to close my account, tell me why.

Pros

  • safe transactions

Cons

  • customer service
  • transparency

Likelihood to Recommend

I can't recommend them at all if they are going to close people's account for no reason and then not tell them why. I did not violate nay terms.

Almost destroyed my business, blocked account, gave fake deadlines, can't decide what they need to unlock it

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

They blocked my account with a 5-digit amount of money. Then, couldn't agree on what they needed from me to unlock it, and were giving me fake deadlines for unblocking and always failing them. Then admitted that "multiple departments are involved", that's why it takes them so long.

They seem to be intentionally holding my money, without an apparent reason. I spoke to about 15 support managers, they all give me incoherent information and fake deadlines. It seems like they just want to win time.

The timeline:

1. 4 months ago, they asked to verify a bank account that I don't use it anymore. I contacted support 5-6 times, they promised to remove it but I kept receiving verification requests. I sent them the proof and they didn't accept it, without an explanation - it seems due to minor differences in the address spelling - instead of "str.", my address starts directly with the street name.

2. I ordered their virtual card. They asked: provide a screenshot of your Amazon account. I answered: I don't work with Amazon anymore, now I work with my client M****** AG, and I am a contractor. They told me "then provide a screenshot of your account with M****** AG". Another support manager answered the same. They seem not to be able to grasp it that when you are a freelancer, you don't have an Amazon-type account with your clients. You just have a contract, and they pay you directly.

3. Now, they blocked my account completely, with a 5-digit sum on it. One manager requested a proof of two specific transactions, and 5 other points, and offered to upload it for me. When I reached again second time to provide the proof, the support manager told me just one transaction would be enough, but I need to upload it over the website. On the website, I there was just a place to upload proof for one transaction, and no place to provide the other requested points (e.g. the explanation of my relationships with counterparties, which was requested).

4. Yesterday on the call (8th or 9th call), they told me that the issue is resolved, and that the account is going to be unlocked in 6-8 hours yesterday. After 15 hours, it's still blocked and another manager says: "we can't tell you the date when it's unlocked. we will do it as soon as possible".

Seems like they have a total internal chaos and are blocking large accounts randomly, to prevent losing too much money. Remember the Wirecard story?

Also I wrote exactly the same things on Trustpilot, and ... the review is hidden from other people, only I see it. Are they paying to hide reviews?

Pros

  • Receiving payments

Cons

  • Blocking accounts for weeks without a reason
  • Giving false deadlines
  • Having a common sense (e.g. understanding that private companies that pay freelancers not always have an "Amazon-type profile" which can be screenshotted)

Likelihood to Recommend

It's well suited for receiving payments if the amounts are small and you don't care about being blocked and losing weeks of your time chasing their support

Payoneer Review

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

They can block any of the transactions you make for no reason, place them on hold on it and keep using your money for free for weeks. Customer support lied to me as if the retailer is holding my money, but I have an official reply from the retailer ensuring me that my money has never reached them in the first place. Getting my money back is becoming a full-time job.

Cons

  • awful customers servis
  • unprofessional
  • slow

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It's a complete nightmare to even change my bank account and get my money through this joke of a company. The worst site I've ever tried to use and impossible to get any customer service. I have to use it to get my earnings from Tunecore and I'm going to be leaving Tunecore and switch to a different digital distributor for my music simply because they force my to use Payoneer where my money takes MONTHS to get through. Why does anyone use this service?

Cons

  • Customer service.
  • Ease of use.
  • Website navigation.

Likelihood to Recommend

I can't get ahold of anyone or figure out how to change my banking details, for months!
