Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use tawk.to Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm to monitor if online website users are trying to chat with us. The host platform for our site doesn't offer a live chat feature for us to utilize so this is a convenient, compatible solution for us! It makes it easy to answer people's questions and get them information in real time.

Pros

  • Speedy receiving and sending of messages
  • Can mark that you're active or inactive
  • Can see when people are on the site, even if they're not using the webchat

Cons

  • I wish it could somehow gather information (like at least someone's name) on chatters, in case we get disconnected

  • It is an inexpensive way to make us even more reachable

tawk.to has been great to work with. It was nice to have someone always on our site to be able to capture lead data. We saw a really nice increase in leads when we started using them.

  • I find myself looking through settings for a long time to make certain changes
  • I think the dashboard could use an overhaul

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We usually recommend tawk.to to clients who need a good chat system for their website. The customization options are fantastic, the implementation is simple, and it's all completely free. We used tawk.to and their beautiful chat popup to successfully double customer conversions on some of our projects. Our clients appreciate the ability to track their website visitors' actions - it is much easier to upsell when you know how the visitors browsed your website, and it is much easier to answer product questions when you know where the visitor is from and which product page they are on right now. Overall, a very useful tool that I highly recommend!

Pros

  • Previously, potential customers had to email us with any questions they had, but now they can contact us easily and quickly, which helps us to satisfy them.
  • We have been able to increase our "real world" presence on our website, providing users with support and sales guidance when they need it the most – when they have a question.
  • The low-footprint, web-based solution is simple to install and use (in most cases), and it provides insight into the effectiveness of our web pages and sites.

Cons

  • What I always dislike about any software is the branding that comes along with it.
  • The live chat module is not super noticeable since it's just in small print at the bottom of the chat module.
  • Small errors can occur, causing the extension in the webpage to disappear.

  • It would be great to be able to quickly access pre-prepared responses directly from tawk.to.
  • It would be great to be able to link directly to email so you can send templates to contacts.
