We are the parent company of 18 home service brands and use Treasure Data to analyze customer and sales data as to constantly evolve our marketing. We actually market directly to our franchise owner's customers so very much B-to-C with a little B-to-B as well. Our brands all have unique customer cycles, average sale numbers, etc., which makes our job complicated. I can't say enough positive things about how easy Treasure Data is to work with and how willing they are to help us tackle the most complicated problems.
Pros
Customer Service/Partnership - willingness to have calls, meetings, etc.
Works with our email platform vendor and our IT partners on our behalf.
Treasure Data Academy is really detailed.
Cons
Journey orchestration is finally here but still in it's infancy, a bit behind the curve.
Treasure Data needs to be more service oriented, not just in sales.

Treasure Data is a great product if you know how to use it. The fact that the CDP really doesn't do any training besides Treasure Data academy is frustrating. I inherited the platform and wish there would have been more documentation.

Treasure Data is well suited for an organization looking for a full-featured data warehouse/lake solution with additional functionalities like a Customer Data Platform, Predictive Modeling, Data Integrations, and Reporting. Treasure Data allows organizations with strong technical teams to support the marketing team with an all-inclusive platform. A scenario where this may not be as appropriate would be for organizations without internal technical resources.

My favorite is that Treasure Data offers flexibility in connecting to various platforms. If there isn't an out-of-the-box connector, we can write custom scripts that run in Treasure Data and we can take advantage of other platforms' APIs. Then, we have the easy to use queries or connect to any other query editor. We can schedule queries, workflows, connectors. Clean data in Treasure data or bring it in clean already. Basically, anything is possible in Treasure Data.

It's our central platform to collect, transform and organize consumer data to make it available for marketing segmentation and BI. That data comes from a variety of sources and formats. This platform is used to abstract all infrastructure implementation from our development, giving us a full stack place to work with data.
Pros
Easy to start.
Support.
Integrations read to use.
Cons
Lack of flexibility.
Not clear on all technical limitations.
Graphical interface is slow.
Likelihood to Recommend
That was a good platform to create a worldwide read product in a short time. It was easy to start, as it cares about all infrastructure and gives us a ready to use place to develop our dataflows. The issue is where all that easiness turns into a lack of flexibility.

This assists us in building real-time behavioral audiences, improving reporting, safeguarding data privacy, and improving activation/execution into channels. With leadership and customization, we are driving ongoing cost savings, media efficiency, media effectiveness, and a better view of our consumers.
Pros
Unify disparate data sets and sources.
Analysis and understanding of data and reporting.
Safeguarding data privacy and improving activating into channels (Social, Media and Email).
Cons
Improvements in the user interface.
Simplification of segmentation for business (non-technical) users.
Likelihood to Recommend
Treasure Data is well suited to integrate all consumer data from disparate data sets, build real-time audiences based on behavior, connect to different channels to drive execution, and safeguard a company’s consumer data for privacy and governance. It is not used to actually distribute content for marketing purposes or build marketing automation journeys.

We are using the platform across the whole organization. They're helping us to be compliant against 1st party data usage, and also to be more effective about digital media spent using our owned data to impact the right consumers, or to find people like them. Even though it is not directly related to the Digital Media spent, being compliant against 1st party data usage keeps the company protected against law issues and bills that depending on the size of your business, can reach billions of dollars.
Pros
Scalability.
Security.
Integrations.
Ease of use.
Support.
Cons
User experience.

We use Treasure Data within Marketing as our Customer Data Platform (CDP). As such, it is central to our audience segmentation and activations to multiple marketing platforms.
Pros
Integration with platforms
Customer support
Easy to use UI
Cons
Contract limits
Lack of nuanced audience logic via UI
Likelihood to Recommend
Treasure Data is a great tool for companies looking to centralize their customer information, create audiences base on various criteria, and then activate on those audience across various platforms. It may not be ideal for companies who already consolidate & manipulate their customer data elsewhere (e.g., a cloud-based data warehouse) as some functionality will be redundant.
