Stay Away from UKG Products
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Use UKG Pro for payroll and scheduling. In my opinion, it's terrible for Public sector operations that are 24/7, like police and fire. I would never recommend.
Pros
- In my experience, give my organization a new technical problem every week
- In my experience, overcharge for services not rendered
- I feel it's outstanding in how it always has something wrong
Cons
- Better implementation support, not steamroll with consulting
- Better priority with technical tickets
- Needs to provide cross-departmental super users the ability to view employees in different business units. i.e. Finance can see all Police employee timecards and schedules for auditing
- Faster report generation for 1000+ employees
- Better connectivity with ERP system
- I feel there's too much nonsense to click for any action
- In my experience, accruals are always a problem, giving errors
- I infinitely wish for this system to crash and for UKG to be bankrupted to the stone-age so a better system can take its place
Return on Investment
- Negative ROI, have to pay (In time, administrative hassle, accounting corrections) every month for something to be fixed
- There is nothing to be said about increased engagement
- There is nothing to be said about increased profitability
- In my opinion, it's a money-Pit
- In my experience, terrible business decision
- I can't stand this GD solution
- In my experience, we have to spend 100s of hours a month fixing what UKG Pro broke
- In my experience, there's hundreds of Thousands of $ in mis-managed revenue due to silly accounting mistakes UKG Pro caused during payroll close
