ADP Workforce Now Unbiased Review

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use ADP Workforce Now to run payroll, and integrate with our scheduling platform, Evolia. With ADP Workforce Now I can rest easy with the knowledge that our payroll, statutory government remittances and year end processes run smoothly and are correct. Downloading our scheduling platform timesheets to ADP Workforce Now is as simple as a one click button and verifying the data. It saves me time, allowing me to focus on the many other aspects of my job role.

Pros

  • Year End (T4) Processing & Filing
  • Payroll processing and pay management
  • Customer Service
  • Services offered in modules to allow some customization to
  • Business needs

Cons

  • Scheduling module
  • Document management
  • HR platform - ability to speak with live HR representatives that can help create policies within local government and labour board regulations

Return on Investment

  • Time Saver. I used to spend 4 hours on payroll with our old system. I can now complete it in 1 hour.
  • Transparency to employees on pay, leave balances, pay rates, etc. has made questions to Payroll almost non-existent. Maybe 1 question in 2-3 months vs 3-4 questions each pay period.
  • Extra/One off payments to employees can be done same quickly & efficiently.

Very Satisfied with ADP Workforce Now - Especially our Support Team

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My company uses ADP Workforce Now for payroll, HR, and time and attendance. We're looking to use the recruitment module as well. The product serves as our single source of truth for headcount and terminations and allows us to support our entire organization with different requests. Through marketplace vendors, we have also been able to integrate with different vendors to automate some processes and provide better experiences for our employees. We're upgrading to ADP Workforce Now NA in the coming weeks and we are looking forward to even more advancements. I would also like to mention that we receive exceptional reports from our District Manager (Kelly La Rosa) and our Client Success Relationship Manager (Brian McLaughlin).

Pros

  • Custom Reporting
  • Easy Functionality
  • Easy usage for employees

Cons

  • Creating more robust workflows through time and attendance
  • Better tracking mechanisms for e-signatures
  • More flexibility in validation tables - specifically character limits for Job Titles
  • Time stamped custom fields instead of static view

Return on Investment

  • Accurate pay statements supports with financial reporting
  • Reliable system results in more satisfied employees

ADP - Manufacturing

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use ADP for Time and Attendance and processing bi-weekly payroll

Pros

  • Offers lots of webinars to learn from
  • Great service when calling for assistance
  • Friendly interactions, never make you feel like you are asking a silly question

Cons

  • Reporting is not the most user friendly. Comes down to wording
  • Follow up from Sales Team who initiated the sign up. Seem to be ghosted by our sales rep, no follow up after transition from implementation to using service center for assistance

Return on Investment

  • All companies under our umbrella all use ADP, great for uniform reporting

Growth and progress

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Until late 2021, [...] used ADP mainly for payroll. When HR was hired (me), I began utilizing the ADP Workforce Now platform to include onboarding, The only module we have not been able to launch effectively is performance. It is more a mindset then technical -- but also some challenges with building the right performance structure that will work for our team.

Recruitment, time and attendance, performance and analytics is working well. Each of these modules have had so much value -- the onboarding is streamlined and a gamechanger as a good portion of employees are remote (pilots) and payroll process is more streamlined overall. The recruitment module was a slow change for hiring managers but we have made great progress. The time and attendance and reports are of great value for our maintenance and the billing and analytics are just now being leveraged more than ever. I am excited next to share the analytics with the leadership team -- providing data to assist in decision making and building strategy. A great platform for our business and hoping to leverage further in the future.

Pros

  • Annual reviews
  • Improvements with App
  • Friendly and supportive technical support
  • Team members working well together
  • A wealth of training materials

Cons

  • Company page - layout options and technical challenges --- as well not visible on APP. We were hopeful this page could be a communication tool for employees.
  • Implementation of modules in general. We have struggled in the past with limited timelines for launching --- our team is small and juggle many tasks and takes us longer to launch.
  • Technical support. The technical teams are technical -- makes it difficult to have them understand HR, the dynamics of our company and what we are trying to accomplish.
  • Technical support. Calling the main lines are time consuming and sometimes frustrating. The technical teams are technical -- so makes it difficult to have them understand HR, the dynamics of our company and what we are trying to accomplish.

Return on Investment

  • have not quantified ROI
  • employee experience and end of year tax statements positive
  • recruitment streamlined and appreciated

  • simple reporting structure

Cons

  • search employee function should be standard
  • standard reports for payroll preview for US and CAN
  • some "How To" documents don't exist for things I would have expected them to or were too broad. ie amend a W2
