For these videos you can either do a screen record, include your face or a combination of both. You can also do a voice recording as you record your screen.
Pros
Captures screen recording of a tab in a browser
Captures the full screen recording
Captures video
Cons

Vidyard is well suited if you are trying to record a quick video to share with someone. The ability to easily access the tool in Chrome makes recording product videos for web applications really easy.
Where I would say Vidyard may not be as well suited so for videos that will be hosted and always accessed, due to the quality of the videos.
I use Vidyard as an additional touchpoint for sending videos to my sales prospecting. I feel having a customized video gives a much better experience than just a phone call or an email.
Pros
Custom content.
Professional looking.
Analytics
Cons
I am pretty happy with what is offered now.

I love that it's easy to make a customer video for a specific customer or a general/genetic one that can be used over and over. I feel the element of someone seeing the person (me) who is reaching out will give them a couple of extra seconds to truly listen to what I have to say.
We used it for two things. First, it was used as a training and communication tool. We used it as a step-by-step demonstrator of processes; we even attached them to some of our SOPs. It also allowed us to avoid a ton of meetings. Instead of jumping on a call, explaining, and walking things through, we saved a ton of time for everyone by just shooting a video and sending it. Second, as videos for prospecting. Using a different outreach method allows a more personal and educational touch.
Pros
Screen Recording.
Video Sharing.
Data analysis.
Cons
Better use of AI.
Likelihood to Recommend
It does well as Solo training or refresher training on a process or task. Process explainers and Prospecting messages don't do well. It doesn't do as well as the fancy editing of the Ultra Hi-def video.

Can customize videos.
Easy storage and access to past videos.
Can upload external videos and generate new videos.
Cons
Inform me of product releases/new features.
Categorize videos based on content.
Integrate with other systems.

Anytime a customer wants to learn how to navigate our software, we send a Vidyard. We use Vidyard to create welcome videos for customers going through the onboarding process. We also use Vidyard to create knowledge base articles/videos.
We use Vidyard to share communication by Video so that It can reach to all the people I need to.
Video message has more attention then email and the likelihood is higher in terms of Acceptance.
For Example - My email open ratio is 40% however My video open ratio is more than 70%. and I have a better chances to communicate better on Video rathe email.
Pros
Personalized Messaging with body gestures
Grabbing Attention is easy
Pitch easily in 45 sec
Best ways to communicate sales triggers and customers pain point
Cons
Some AI possibility to scale up your videos with name change mechanism to personalize
Likelihood to Recommend
1. Communicate Faster and more Casually with Customers unlike Email 2. Linkedin Integration is Fab.
Vidyard helps us connect with our customers and prospects in a very profound way. This is such a needed product now more than ever. We live in an age where email inboxes are way too cluttered and people hardly ever answer their phone if they don't recognize their number. Vidyard truly helps you stand out compared to other old-school sales teams. We use it for both outbound and inbound marketing/communication/sales reach-outs. It's helpful for every step of the process. Getting someone interested in attending a demo, following up with them after a demo, thanking them for signing up, and following up with them after they go through implementation to see if there are any other products that they could benefit from using.
Pros
It's easy to use on the chrome browser extension. I can quickly record videos to send to both other teammates, prospects, and customers.
It's very helpful to see if a video has been watched and how much of the video was watched.
It's easy to embed videos into emails.
It's easy to record one video to use for many different prospects/customers.
Cons
Sometimes the chrome browser doesn't work. I occasionally have to quit chrome and relaunch it. Seems to only be an issue on my second screen not on my regular laptop.
It would be awesome if there was some sort of onboarding library on how to use all of the functionality. Our rep helped us get started with Vidyard a long time ago, but now we have many new team members who we have all hired remotely. Our team definitely doesn't use the product to its fullest capacity
It would be nice if the videos could have some sort of quick survey afterward. Ex: a prospect watches a video and answers a couple of questions afterward.

Vidyard has been critical for our team in many ways. One way that we didn't realize how much we'd be using it is for training new teammates while we're all working remotely. I frequently use the chrome extension to record a video of how to do something to send to our whole team or certain teammates. There are other products that do that, but this seems to be the most efficient, easiest, and quickest. Vidyard is incredibly useful for both inbound, and outbound sales and marketing strategies. It helps us increase our open and click rate for emails and overall engagement for our customer journey.
We have had a lot of issues with integrating the tool into Salesloft and also SalesHub. Often, there won't be an option to upload the video, and sometimes, the quality is compromised. We also had instances where emails would be sent without the video or would go straight to spam.
Pros
The customer service is awesome. I always get ahold of our rep within an hour of contacting!
Vidyard in itself is a genius idea and when running correctly, a great tool to have in a rep's arsenal!
The people are great. -They spent countless hours working with our team!
Cons
I feel the integration ability could be strengthened. We had a lot of looses ends.
The tool could be a bit more user-friendly. Somewhat difficult to navigate/edit videos.
I would start compiling use cases for different positions/industries that have been successful.
Likelihood to Recommend
In my industry, there really isn't a time that I feel would be inappropriate to use the tool. I feel it's most useful to an audience that you haven't connected with yet, however. I think your content is what can get you into trouble. A friend of mine was blocked from a decent amount of prospects after sending a video promoting a happy hour.
We use Vidyard to get through the prospecting noise. There are too many typical emails and phone calls so Vidyard is an outlet that provides creativity. Also, putting a face and personality to a seller/buyer relationship is very helpful. It helps with conversions in prospecting and can help compliment a demo or customer issue conversation or meeting.
Pros
Ease of use
Delivery is reliable
Analytics are helpful
Cons
More granular analytics
More options in editing the videos
More options of media like gifs
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for prospecting, adding context from a complex conversation or meeting such as a demo, and providing customers with attention and helpful tips. Less appropriate to use internally. I'd say it's great for distinguishing yourself as well if you are interviewing for a job. You can use it as a follow-up.
We use Vidyard to send personalized thank you videos to donors. We have found with the advancement of technology they don't always want to pick up the phone to receive a thank you call. This tool has allowed us to let donors get to know us as staff (see and hear us) without the need to meet, schedule another call and they can respond and view at their leisure. We have also used it for internal training videos so that staff can see demos of stuff without needing to schedule a call that everyone has to join.
Pros
Video Recording
Stats on where someone might have watched to
Adding calls to action
Emailing directly from the tool itself.
Cons
some of the tools we use I find I doesn't allow us to embed automatically
connect better with shopify (I don't want to upload a youtube link always)
Likelihood to Recommend
Video recording and sharing quick videos with possible customers or other staff. Using it to give feedback on products or other items.
I use Vidyard every day, Basically, it saves a lot of time. We have experienced that maintaining our customers is a lot of work and service is key for this success. We have a lot of sales representatives and so many of us maintaining relationships with them. We use Vidyard to be more close to the customers, we design videos to improve the use of the products and it leads to digital evangelization, renewing semester after semester. We use salesforce to keep control of the after-sales follow up and we put our videos on it. When speaking about users, students are happy to see not only a presenting laptop but the person who supports them.
Pros
The Vidyard customer success team is always helping us to improve the usage of the tool.
Recording from a browser.
Use the speaker bubble
Cons
Reduce complexity. Then using the tool for the first time is not that easy.
In our organization, It is now used by sales teams, but I suggest they include marketing when trying Vidyard for the first time. I
Enable to optimize and share videos in fewer clicks
Likelihood to Recommend
As I mentioned before, in our organization it is only used by the sales team, but I think that this will be more efficient if it is used by marketing teams as well. I am thinking that operation teams will help them too, in order to improve HR videos and IT support.
