Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I currently use Vidyard to record videos that I send to prospects and/or customers. These videos consist of recordings I do on a desktop or laptop as well as videos recorded on my mobile phone.

For these videos you can either do a screen record, include your face or a combination of both. You can also do a voice recording as you record your screen.

Usability

The tool is pretty user-friendly. Setting up an account can take some time, as well as verifying it. Once you have an account set up, you can utilize the app or the Google Chrome extension.

Using the extension is pretty easy, except it can get confusing regarding sharing just a tab vs sharing your whole window.

Vidyard is well suited if you are trying to record a quick video to share with someone. The ability to easily access the tool in Chrome makes recording product videos for web applications really easy.

Where I would say Vidyard may not be as well suited so for videos that will be hosted and always accessed, due to the quality of the videos.
