Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Webex Meetings to have virtual meetings with suppliers and vendors. This allows us to have critical discussions without the need to be onsite. It is a great tool to have discussions with multiple people from all over the world. Certain vendors only use this app to have meetings.

  • I would like to see AI summaries for the free version.

Webex is our primary collaboration platform. We use Webex Meetings for any and everything, ranging from collaboration between teammates for their daily work, to weekly team meetings, to large Town Hall type meetings. We have a very large Hybrid Workforce and Webex allows us to keep in touch with each other and ensures our caregivers can give our patients the best care possible.

Pros

  • Security is top of mind and Webex is an Industry Leader in this category
  • Crisp video and audio makes it easy for workers to work from anywhere
  • AI Assistant and Transcription Services make it easy to be fully engaged in the meeting and not get sidetracked with note taking

Cons

  • Webex could be easier to join if you don't have the app installed
  • Mobile integration with Carplay could be better
  • Easier to navigate through the meetings app

When Covid made working from home compulsory i looked around for a communications product I could use. I needed a secure, consistent and reliable product that I could use to communicate with my colleagues. I started with Zoom but that got hacked. I then shifted to Webex Meetings. Webex Meetings met all of those criteria. Still using Webex for working from Home

Pros

  • Allows feedback from meeting attendees. Eg clap, thumbs up
  • Allows sharing of documents, screen share.
  • Has a whiteboard you can share with students
  • Students can also share their problems

Cons

  • I really cannot think of anything at present.
  • Perhaps a selection of elevator music while you wait for meeting to start.
  • A clearer link for students to join regular meetings

Return on Investment

  • As A Cisco Networking Academy we are able to use WebEx for free
  • Great return on investment

I am the team leader in our architecture and planning industry. Webex Meeting is an important software in our organisation. We use the software to conduct video conferences with our architectural teams, conduct virtual design reviews and presentations to our clients and stakeholders, ensure real-time project communication and collaboration and conduct collaborative drawing and designing of structures in a shared virtual canvas. The software allows us to work from anywhere. It is also fully customizable and allows personalisation.
