X is not what it once was.

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am not using it anymore. X has become a toxic place and is not worth paying for ads. I still post, but nothing pays. The atmosphere around X just isn't good, and it has expanded beyond a useful platform. I miss the old days of Twitter when it wasn't as toxic.

Pros

  • Nothing
  • Toxic
  • Not worth the money.

Cons

  • Monitor content.
  • Get rid of bots.
  • Get back to basics.

Likelihood to Recommend

For me, it isn't a platform I need to advertise. I don't have a big following, and there is no benefit for the company. I post for free and try to get followers to see us and learn our name. I hope it will improve one day.

X Ads is still a good decision ad platform wise

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

X Ads is great for getting in front of decision makers, especially when promoting a B2B or SAAS product. What I love most is the self serve + rep route. Where you can control everything but have an extra set of eyes from X Ads for some QA and assistance when you need it.

Pros

  • targeting
  • awareness
  • effective CPM

Cons

  • audience targeting
  • HHI targeting
  • optimizations account wide vs campaign by campaign

Likelihood to Recommend

It's great for getting in front of tech decision makers becuase they are so on the platform, less great for direct ecommerce sales, but I've seen it work with the right targeting. Another great opportunity is government folks or Fortune 10 tech / support. It's amazing who responds to a X post these days!

Reach your niche audience

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Twitter Ads to target a wider and younger demographic. It helps us reach a fast-paced audience as well as some older professionals in the industry looking to invest.

Pros

  • Reaches young audience members.
  • Reaches older audience members.
  • Reaches investors.

Cons

  • User interface has improved but needs to be improved to meet other social platforms.

Likelihood to Recommend

Twitter Ads tend to be geared towards a younger audience and the popularity of the platform seems to be deteriorating. If you are trying to reach a younger demographic it is beneficial, but it is harder to reach a more mature audience as they do not use the platform.

I wish for better audience targeting

Rating: 7 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Twitter ads to reach new audiences and broaden our customer base through advertising and increase traffic to our website. It is a complement to other social media and googles ads advertising that we're performing. It has helpful features that allow [targeting] the audience you need and create sponsored posts.

Pros

  • Niche targeting
  • Daily budgets and control of spending
  • Good user interface that makes it helpful to understand how to set up

Cons

  • Audience filtering can be improved
  • The way ads display may be mistaken for other tweets and not acknowledged
  • Improve on the AI side to assist with setting up the ads

Likelihood to Recommend

I find that the majority of the audience is younger people. So, it is a more suited platform if you're targeting the younger generation. However, I find that other platforms are taking over the market right now and Twitter is starting to fade from the forefront. I would not do video advertising on Twitter. I would rather use competitor platforms.

Rating: 7 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Twitter Ads is a great advertising platform for active conversations and ongoing events. We advertised on Twitter to increase our reach and engagement on relevant campaigns. We utilized our Twitter Ads to drive traffic to our website. It is a really easy platform to use but targeting is limited compared to other social media advertising.

Pros

  • User Interface, Easy to Understand.
  • Audience Targeting.
  • Campaign Setup.

Cons

  • More Detailed Analytics.
  • Additional Filter Options.
  • Additional Targeting Options.

Likelihood to Recommend

Twitter Ads can be very beneficial for businesses if used effectively. Whether it is to increase reach, brand awareness, conversions, and leads, a Twitter Ad campaign can do it! It is important, however, to always understand your audience and what your audience is specifically on Twitter. Ultimately, I think your platform audience, main customer base, and campaign goal all weigh into if Twitter Ads is a good option for you/your business.

A good software that reaches young demographics but with a limited feature set

Rating: 6 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Twitter Ads to Target ads primarily for younger demographics in order to generate sales

Pros

  • Targets younger demographics best
  • Easy to use platform
  • Mobile site to manage ads that is straight forward

Cons

  • Too expensive
  • Lack of customization when using mobile version of Twitter ads
  • No flexibility in location limited to just zipcodes

Likelihood to Recommend

Twitter Ads is bar none the most effective tool out of all the social media platforms to target younger demographics, the issue is that it is also the most expensive out of all of them. It's well suited to an environment where the user or company does not need to customize too much and kind of set it and forget it.

We [have used] Twitter Ads [over] the last 6 months for brand awareness and to drive traffic to the site.

Pros

  • Friendly UI, easy to understand even for non-professionals
  • Great audience targeting functionality
  • Granular analytics

Cons

  • It was difficult to find out how to make a creative first time
  • I wish the filters work better and be more thoughtful
  • The ad campaigns pacing isn't always even (sometimes daily budget, especially if it isn't very high, can be served in few minutes no matter you selected even or accelerated delivery)

Likelihood to Recommend

[Twitter Ads] is a very good self-serve ad platform overall, where you can easily run and manage your ads or promoted posts.

What Twitter Ads has done for me

Rating: 6 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Twitter Ads is used by our marketing department only. We promote our tweets using twitter, once we have promoted the tweet we wait for Twitter approval and then it will be an official ad. It expands our reach for customers on twitter to find our target market. It helps in our overall marketing strategy for social media.

Pros

  • Helps set daily budgets.
  • Narrows down target market.
  • Helps boost our retweets.

Cons

  • Targets to random people at times.
  • They come off as any other tweet.
  • They're not noticeable enough.

Likelihood to Recommend

Twitter ads are good for company usage. Many people on Twitter randomly promote tweets which leave less room for us companies to be on people's feed. Also, promotions don't end up on peoples feed's a lot, only one or none show up. It is good for bigger companies that don't need to have ads because they already have a lot of followers.
