Zoho Commerce is a great tool for Online eStore options for large companies

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it as an online hosting source for our eStore. Customers can visit our website and click the links that will take them directly to our online store to purchase a product instantly via credit card. We have it linked with Zoho books so that an order alert is received by the team whenever a new order is received and the credit card is automatically processed when the order is shipped. On the internal side the estore is a complete products listing including the price its selling at on our estore and a description and we can easily mark the item available for sale or not available. The estore allows for ease of tracking of our online orders without the insane fees that Amazon charges and we can sell products without physically having stock available.

Pros

  • Automatically processes Credit Card orders when an order has been shipped
  • Allows for items to be made unavailable for sale easily
  • Items can be updated on Zoho Commerce and will automatically push the data to our online store
  • Allows for layout updates/changes to be made on Zoho Commerce and we can delay having the layout changes pushed onto our live store until we're ready

Cons

  • Updating the data for annual price increase could be smoother - right now all fields have to be in the update file even if just the price is increasing
  • It would be easier to update individual or multiple items if Commerce included the Product code in the product view (List and grid)
  • Commerce would be vastly improved if there was a "Sheet View" similar to Zoho CRM to bulk update products without performing an import/export
  • Tracking of changes made would also be a useful improvement, like the "audit log" in Zoho CRM to see who made a change & when it was made.
