Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 X Series (Formerly Virtual Office)
We are using 8x8 for an employee that works remotely out of state.
- It allows you to forward calls to your cell phone or to the office phone.
- It allows you to receive voicemail when you are not able to answer your phone.
- You can record your phone calls.
- Reliable information would be nice. We received an email from 8x8 on August 21st, "Introducing Voicemail Transcription, a new feature that transcribes voicemail into text and sends it to you in an email. The best part--it’s already included in your plan for free!" I logged into 8x8 and tried to turn on the feature and was unable to locate it and was not able to find any documentation under help. A month later, I called tech support. The person on the line did not know what I was talking about. He put me on hold to research this further and came back and informed me that they have not implemented the new feature. I called again in October and I was told again that they have not implemented the new feature. I feel that I wasted my time looking for a new feature that has not yet been implemented.
- In the past, we had difficulties with forwarding calls to the cell phone. Calls were ringing at two different locations (home office & cell phone). We ended up having to log out of the account on the cell phone and the computer, logged back in on the computer and turned off the forward feature, and the issue was resolved.
- We are able to obtain a 408 area code for an employee who works out of state.
- We are able to forward all calls to a cell phone when out of the office.
- We are able to check voicemail from the 8x8 website.
