Overall Satisfaction with Abila MIP Fund Accounting
Our organization uses MIP for all of our accounting needs. Various accountants and admin staff have access to to MIP through different logins. We also have the ability to use it remotely. We use it for all of our accounts payable, accounts receivable and reporting needs. We also create our annual 1099s through it.
- Adding entries for accounts payable is very easy to do.
- Creating distribution lists for accounts payable is easy and helpful.
- Entering accounts receivable is also very user friendly.
- The reporting function has room for improvement. It isn't always easy to get the information you want into a single report.
- When entering a batch of accounts payable and posting it, you can't go back to edit or delete a single entry. You need to delete the entire batch and start over, which is annoying.
- When entering a a deposit or some sort of accounts receivable and posting it, you can't go back to edit or delete a single entry. You need to delete the entire batch and start over, which is annoying.
- Our organization has been on MIP since I started working here. We are able to get our business objectives done with it.
- Though we are able to get our business objectives done with MIP, I feel like it is sometimes a struggle and we have to compromise on what we want.
- I believe we could get a lot more use out of a different accounting platform.
Our organization does get funding from multiple sources and MIP does help us keep that straight. We are able to add funds and expense against those specific funds and create accurate reports about it all. We can keep track of different grants, contracts, individual donations, program revenue, and things like that.
Our company chose Abile MIP because a former employee (that was held in high esteem) recommended it. Since then, we have felt stuck with it due to the cost of switching over to another platform. I personally feel, as do many of my colleagues, that another platform would be better and more effective for our organization.
