Non-Profit Organization - Multiple Fund Accounts
Overall Satisfaction with Abila MIP Fund Accounting
MIP is used primarily by our Finance Department. Some program directors do have access to, and use, the software. MIP is our primary accounting software.
Pros
- Reports are easily created and used.
- Accounts payable system is extensive and friendly.
- Entries are easy to make and MIP provides lots of references for training and use of the system.
Cons
- Entering budgets - we have only been able to do this manually. If it is possible to import from Excel we need to know.
- I have not done a ROI calculation for our investment in MIP but I can say that we have been able to bridge gaps with the parts of our organization that do the field work by using MIP reports so they can see the impact their work has on our financials.
Our organization manages over 80 fund accounts from donations, local, state and federal sources. MIP does have all of the functionality we need to manage the funds, organize reports and data so that we can effectively manage our programs.
