Overall Satisfaction with Absorb LMS

We are a University delivering online education. Absorb LMS helps us to create, deliver and manage our education products.

Pros

  • Flexible
  • Integrates education files from other sources well
  • Can provide various learning experiences with the many settings and learning materials that may be utilized.

Cons

  • Navigation within the course can be challenging. For example you can click on a lesson in the lesson overview tab (which covers most of the screen). The course navigates to the lesson you clicked but it is behind the lesson overview tab which can make it seem as though you did not navigate to the intended lesson unless you manually close the lesson overview tab. It should automatically close in my opinion.
  • I would like it if I could be more specific with what is mandatory within a course and what is not. For example if I want to set it up so that students can navigate anywhere at any time in the course it is not the easiest thing to do and it is not particularly intuitive how I might do that.
  • I think a better foldering system would be great. As we add more content more organization will be necessary. This is true of the many different courses, the many SCORMS for those courses, the many asessments, resources and course assets (e.g. images for thumbnails).
  • Too early to tell. We are launching our first course on this platform soon.
I'd love to see an upgrade in the organization capabilities as well as the searchability of products within absorb.

Creating the assessments, course evaluations, courses, curricula etc. are all critical pieces to our success. They are relatively easy to create and manage which will be important as we scale.
Our representative ... has been an invaluable resource. What I want in customer support is solutions in a timely manner. With ... I simply inform her of what I need or some of my thoughts and she is able to quickly point me in the right direction.

The customer support has been great. Big shout to our representative... for her help. Any questions I have are met with solid answers and actionable solutions in a timely manner. She has really helped me to get up to speed in a software that is very new to me.
