Overall Satisfaction with Acquia Digital Experience Platform

We host sensitive private data for schools. It needs to be private and it needs to be reliable. The data also needs to be on Australian servers. We use their lowest tier of hosting/support to conserve spend, but the services have been provided well, as has the tech support, despite phone not being an option.

Pros

  • Instant response
  • Competent tech support
  • Reliable hosting

Cons

  • Documentation is a bit hard to follow
  • Responsiveness on Cloud IDE is slow enough that we've used another solution
  • Their security levels help us close sales.
  • Their tech support helps us retain them.
Adequate, but support for Drupal multi-site headless deployments is, to my knowledge, not available at this time.
Honestly, Pantheon are a great provider too and momentum has a large amount to do with our retention here.

It's been great for our hosting as we require top-notch security on locally-located servers (inside Australia). I wouldn't recommend them for smaller businesses who can't afford 4-figure monthly hosting bills, of course. In order to economise, we chose the lowest level of support but it has still be top notch. No complaints.
