Overall Satisfaction with Acronis Cyber Protect

We use Acronis Cyber Protect Backup Advanced to back up our on-premises bare metal servers and virtual machine servers with the VMware vCenter server appliance. We back up 30 days of data per server.

Pros

  • Ease of set up.
  • Recovering past data from backup.
  • Cyber Protect console is user-friendly.

Cons

  • Not great information on why some backup schedules don't work on certain servers.
  • Cyber Protect console can be slow or not connect sometimes.
  • Getting information on adding different types of licenses can be improved.
  • Peace of mind knowing that data is being backed up automatically.
  • recovering lost data from a past backup saved time.
  • Cloud backup, saves us from any on-premises issues.
  • Data is being off-site.
Overall, I would rate Acronis an 8 on usability. It was somewhat easy to set up, but required some support from Acronis. It is nice to have a set-it-and-forget-it mentality with Acronis, as I do not have to worry about the servers backing up correctly. If there is an issue, it will alert me so I can fix it.
Acronis had the best price-to-performance ratio for our environment of a couple of bare metal servers and a vSphere environment of 10 VMs. The web console for Acronis was the most user-friendly and not difficult to set up and understand. Veeam is top in its class, but it was not for me.

Do you think Acronis Cyber Protect delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Acronis Cyber Protect's feature set?

Yes

Did Acronis Cyber Protect live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Acronis Cyber Protect go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Acronis Cyber Protect again?

Yes

It works great as a cloud backup solution, and restoring data from a past backup is easy. If you need an easy-to-use cloud backup solution for some servers, I would recommend Acronis. If we had a need, I would use this to back up all of our computers as well. I am not too sure how it would handle backing up over 50 devices, though.
