Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica

PAX uses Acumatica financial and order distribution modules for AP, AR, Cash, B2C and B2B orders. Acumatica is our source of truth for financials and inventory management, enabling company stakeholders to know and understand company data.

Pros

  • Business events allow for great, useful notifications to internal and external stakeholders
  • Order distribution. Acumatica handles inventory management very well.
  • AP and AR are great examples including inbox integration and automated emails (invoices, purchase orders, remittance)

Cons

  • Financial reporting using ARM is very painful. Constant updates if codes need to be shifted or if accounts are added/removed. Our setup could be better on ARM, but overall the training exposure and best practice implementation of ARM needs improvement
  • Financial consolidation is very difficult to implement. Translation is effective, but would be nice is overall themed training/execution of financial transactions.
  • Inventory tracking has enabled better oversight on inventory turns

We are a consumer goods so order distribution and financial modules has allowed us to track inventory and orders to our 3PL
Acumatica through its framework really helps to set it above the others. The ability to customize and innovate is great and Acumatica is trying to make this process even quicker.

3PL management (if integrated) is great. Warehouse locations allow for intensive inv. management to include product on hold/QA, etc.

As long as Acumatica can integrate, most industries would benefit from Acumatica.

Evaluating Acumatica and Competitors

I would conduct a general POC for some of the departments we expect to handle Acumatica more frequently.

Using Acumatica

Acumatica is very usable, especially with the more you use it. The difficulty in Acumatica's usability lies in it' UI relative to process flow. While it's easy to navigate to a screen, it's very difficult to understand that screen's role in a process.
