Acumatica Review.
Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica
We use Acumatica to take care of all of our accounting ERP needs that we have, and we use it to integrate with Procore which does our project management, so we need a system that is able to integrate back and forth between our accounting and our project management.
Pros
- We just went live about two weeks ago, so we are here at Acumatica Summit to see everything it's capable of. One of the things it is capable of is the dashboards and the integration with some of these third-party people to ensure we can get the data we need when we need it, so we're looking forward to getting all that live for us.
Cons
- I think improvement, we don't know too much yet as we're just now going live, but the customization is the thing that's nice about software like this, you are able to customize it very well easily, but that takes a little bit of understanding to get to know that, and so we're not quite there yet. That'd probably be my complaint, even though it's not really a complaint, it's just able to do too much for us.
- Well, right now, it's moving in a positive direction because we can get data that we could not get out of our previous system.
1-3 months
I think it's going to help us serve our customers better in the sense that we have all the data that we need at our fingertips. We can focus on the product that we're trying to provide them, which is the service of a building, versus working so hard with our software to get the things we need out.
Acumatica works great for the construction industry because we can manage our projects and our cost codes specifically within there. Then, they can also integrate with Procore, which is project management, and they have all these other partners that make it work so well with the construction industry.
We used to use a company called CMIC that we used for five years, which was another ERP system that kind of was an all-in-one system that was designed specifically for the construction industry. When you deal with an all-in-one system, you don't get quite the level of excellence that we were expecting when they're trying to do too many things at once, and this system focused on what it does well, and so we're excited about what it's doing.
