Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica
I use Acumatica for purchasing, inventory control, and work order creation and completion. Acumatica works well for our business - we have 2 very distinct production areas in our plant. One side of the business is process manufacturing where we produce soaps and detergents. The other side of the business produces soap dispensers which is a discrete manufacturing model. Acumatica has been a great solution for us because we are able to utilize both super batches for our process manufacturing and regular batch tickets for our discrete manufacturing.
Pros
- Easy to learn - the learning curve was much quicker than SAP
- Customized dashboards and GI reports
- Being transactional based we can have user names for all of our associates without breaking the bank
Cons
- The 'suggested' items as you search for something is clunky and often picks the wrong item you were actually looking for.
- Much better inventory control - we've been able to reduce our on hand inventory of raw materials by 100k just using out of the box reports
Our orders are usually ship within 3 days. This is a significant improvement for us... it used to take up to 2 weeks for orders to ship.
Acumatica provides us with traceability for raw material inputs and allows traceability for our finished goods. It also provides our production team with performance matrix's that help drive discussions around where/how to make improvements.
