Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica

We use Acumatica to manage our daily accounting tasks such as AR, invoicing, collections, payments, reconciliations, journal entries, amortization, and refunds. It serves as the primary system for overseeing our accounting operations.

Pros

  • Core accounting functionality - including AR, invoicing, payments, and bank recs
  • Flexible and customizable to fit our business processes without heavy development
  • Solid reporting tools that make it easier to access and analyze financial data - dashboards

Cons

  • Some workflows can feel overly complex or require too many steps for routine accounting tasks
  • Reporting and inquiries can have a learning curve and are not always intuitive for new users
  • Certain features require customization or third-party tools to fully meet specific business needs
  • Overall, Acumatica has delivered strong ROI by simplifying and streamlining accounting processes.
  • Bank reconciliations are efficient and easy to manage.
  • Visual dashboards for collections and overdue balances improve visibility and help keep customers accountable.
We have not yet fully utilized Acumatica’s AI features. We will be upgrading in the near future and I'm really looking forward to trying out the newest AI features, especially involving AP and bank reconciliations. I hope it can minimize some of the current manual processes that I do on a regular basis and increase process efficiency.

Acumatica has helped improve customer service by providing better visibility into orders, invoices, payments, and account status. Having accurate, real-time information in one system allows us to respond to customer questions more quickly and resolve issues more efficiently.

Acumatica is well suited for manufacturing companies and organizations with larger or more complex inventory needs. It works especially well as an all-in-one system, bringing together sales orders, inventory management, accounting, and financial reporting in a single platform. Having everything integrated helps reduce manual work and improves visibility across departments.

That said, it may be less ideal for very small businesses or teams looking for a simple, out-of-the-box solution, as some workflows can require setup, customization, or training to use efficiently. Overall, it’s a strong option for growing companies that need flexibility and scalability.
