Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica
Acumatica is used for our financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable.
Pros
- Converted us from paper office to paperless
- Staff can use it remotely for their expense claims and add receipt images on their app
- Deferred revenue module works well, very efficient for prepaid expenses as well as prepaid revenue from customers
Cons
- The fixed asset module is very finicky. It is not intuitive, and assets with errors cannot be deleted once posted, and continue appearing on reports so it has garbage data in it. It is also buggy.
- The AI for AP has not worked well for us. We have multiple branches and departments and it is more difficult to use than copy/paste a prior bill and edit that.
- The permissions is very complex and can be difficult to find an issue to fix it.

No. Our primary use for AI would be to assist with AP, and using 2025 R1, it has failed and makes more work instead of less when we try to use it. It needs improvement before it becomes functional.
It helps us take care of our employees and answer their questions and get financial data for them quickly and efficiently.
It only serves general corporate financial needs and does not help with our financial advisory role to mutual funds. That requires other software.

Amazing improvement. We selected Acumatica because it works on Macs, is browser-based yet we keep our data on our in-house servers, and it completely modernized our system.
